Committed to trying more old world wines this year and this is a tasty number to kick that off! Easy drinker, very subtle cherry, not fruity. Definite acid and citrus, light tannins, would go great with red sauce as well as heartier fish. Appealing ruby color. Opened up with some air-time/decanting for sure and would likewise benefit from some cellar time. But a very good vibe even at this young age. — 6 years ago

Medium ruby, primary aromas of red fruit, medium acidity and tannins. Good albeit low QPR — 2 years ago
Not a 1er Cru, but it should be! Lovely Vosne. Velvet, sappy cherry fruit with Vosne spice. Hints of vanilla and stones. A whiff of oak char on the nose, but less so on the palate. Decanted for 2 hours prior to consumption. — 4 years ago
Cherry and cranberry aromas that match the pallet. Forest floor and a little toasty oak in the background that is a nice touch and not overly done. Would drink this again. — 6 years ago

LP 3 from the Gurdjieff/ de Hartmann box set and a spectacular Barbera. The music is a collection of beautiful piano compositions based on the spiritual teachings of George Gurdjieff. The wine has all the juicy pleasure one expects from Barbera, but has plenty of structure as well. Tannins add some texture & the acidic lift adds complexity to the wine. I absolutely love Barbera, and this is a top level example. — 6 years ago

Some of the happiness may indeed be because I've been a little to Californian lately. Occupational hazard. This has got pretty violet aromas mixed with herbal notes of pine and faint rosemary. Palate reflects aromas, adding dried cranberries, leather and tobacco notes. Good tannic grip. — 11 years ago
Conrad Green

lovely soft dried cherry on the nose. Tangy marmalade. Haunting floral notes. Pretty. Likely Past its prime, but delicious and full of character. — 9 months ago
