Ahhh when Caymus was Caymus! Chocolate, leather, prune, lengthy tannins and a nice bit of acid still hanging on! — 6 months ago
Nice dark fruit, slightly tannic. — 2 years ago
Paired well with our take out and family game night. Nice finish. — 6 years ago

The Clark & Telephone Vineyard PN gave me a long lasting impression, and this Las Alturas is very similar in style in its richness and intensity.
Ripe plum, blackberry jam, eucalyptus, fig, black tea, and Chinese medicinal herbs bursting on the nose. Palate has more texture and a more elegant feel with dark chocolate and spice. Firm and a bit dusty tannins. This tastes more like a blend of Zinfandel and Cab. Nice! But again this is not the type of PN I like. — 7 years ago
Nice old school Rioja. Bright cherry, dried tobacco and dill. Great acidity — 11 years ago
Very nice Cab for the price. Another fine vintage from winemaker Joseph Carr. Thanks for the memory! — 11 years ago
Smooth, light, nice finish — 13 years ago
We had the 2013 Vintage on 6/28-29/25. Nice bouquet black fruit and cedar. The palate had blackberry, plum, tobacco, leather and spice. Medium bodied, terroir driven. Old World and very good — 6 months ago

Really nice. Red currant, spicy, herbaceous and some oak. — 10 years ago
To fruity to be a 9.0, but close. Spicy finish is very nice but passes quickly. Strong and pleasant on the nose. Definitely worth a try. 2013 vintage. — 10 years ago
I love this wine. For some reason it is very easy on my digestive system unlike many others. It has a nice price point as well. — 11 years ago
Hold's well. Very nice black cherry. — 12 years ago
Ruby in color with a wide reddish/brick rim.
Fruit forward on the nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing sweet cherries, raspberries, blueberries, black currants, plums, chocolates, light oak, earth, cola, herbs, spices, light vanilla, licorice, peppercorn and tobacco leaf.
Nice tangy finish with soft tannins.
This 6-year-old Zinfandel blend from Sonoma County is drinking at its peak. Spicy and fruit forward. Elegant and juicy.
Great right out of the bottle, but even better after a few hours of air, when the complexity really comes to life.
The alcohol is very nicely integrated by now. Easy drinking and nicely balanced. A great sipping wine.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Whew! Light body, balanced fruit, good carbonation. Really nice! — 5 years ago
Nice Zinfandel. Fruity but dense. — 6 years ago
Okay - fine. It’s a good, probably great wine. Overpriced? Yes. Opus is filled with pretentious douchbags? Double yes. But this is a well-made wine bridging a gap between Napa and Boudreaux. Dusty nose with menthol, earl grey tea, tobacco, flowers, cassis, and creamy dark fruits. It has a really nice velvety finish. — 8 years ago
Has become a favorite! Nice currant taste, smooth — 9 years ago
The Ridge Lytton Springs Zin 2012 was excellent bang for buck at $32. I also gather it is tough to find. Silky and smooth with good berries and a hint of vanilla. The tannins were youngish and I'd expect the body to develop over the next couple years. nice oaky finish. Very pleased. — 10 years ago
The oak has subsided since the last time I've opened a bottle. Black current and blackberry blend well through a nice finish with integrated tannins. — 11 years ago
Very nice pinot noir but not traditional by pinot standards. Very clean and complex. Layers of great berry fruit and spice. Interesting textures. Very pleasant finish. — 11 years ago
