Disg. 2/14…Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s particularly special to have with some bottle age. It’s stunning today, rich and powerful with crazy depth to its layers with a deep, complex core of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all seamlessly integrated. The palate is generous and detailed, with racy acids, waves of saline laced, chalky Le Mesnil minerals and a finish that stays with you. A BdB benchmark for my tastes. — 10 months ago

Nice champagne, not heavily bubbled. Tart fruit initially followed by a nice yeast. — 9 years ago
Very good Brut BdeB. Green apple, lemon, flowers, fine but strong bubbles and solid enough to go with food. Escalope de fois de canard, legumes d'ete au satay, Lieu jaune, chorizo iberique con case ecume de lait, a la nepita. — 10 years ago

Hazelnuts and green apple. Great everyday champagne — 3 years ago
Single vineyard "Les Belles Voyes" in the famous Grand Cru hillside of Oger. Pale lemon with fine creamy mousse and tiny rapid bubble flow, long lees aging. aromas stone fruits and blossom, bread dough and citrus. On the palate flavors of golden apple, peach, lemon citrus and honeysuckle with biscuit toast and nutty notes. Long finish, full-body ending with biscuit, mineral and citrus character. A bit disappointing compared to the prior versions. Light, creamy mouth feel, very low lees notes but the mineral precision is not quite there — 5 years ago
Soft nose with intermixed light red berries and orchard fruit. The finish was had some bitter notes. Bad bottle? — 6 years ago
