2017 Ravine White Springs Vineyard Dry Riesling (Finger Lakes). Nine years old and still seems youthful. Great nose of zesty Granny Smith and slightly unripe Cortland apples and lots of high-toned stony minerality. Palate is concentrated and intense, lots of crisp acid to balance the deep fruit and intense stones. Aroma of ripe black fruit, violets, cedar and burnt caramel. Flavors of black berry/currant/plum fruit, black tea, savory herbs and spices.
