Mossy on the nose, Pinot fruitiness in the mouth, grows in complexity and depth as it breathes — 5 months ago
These are recalled impressions, not contemporaneous notes, from two nights ago, when the family council of elders met for a steak/wine pairing event at my brother Angelo’s house.
Everyone loved this one. Deep and complex. Like a great Pessac with its notes of deep gravel and cigar box. — 8 months ago

Sweet, fruity, mild spices that sustain. Holds its own — 13 years ago
Clear, pale gold in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced intensity primary aromas of lemon, starfruit, and citrus blossoms; on the palate, it's dry, with medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary flavors of lemon peel, honeydew, and white pages with a long finish. This wine is balanced and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 3 months ago
Actually a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (77%), Merlot (12%), Malbec (5%), Cabernet Franc (4%) Petite Verdot (2%). Dark ruby color with some purple highlights. Aroma of ripe black fruit, violets, cedar and burnt caramel. Flavors of black berry/currant/plum fruit, black tea, savory herbs and spices. Lingering finish, plush, well balanced with fine grained tannins. Solid value. Enjoyed at Thyme Rooftop Restaurant with Keith S! — 4 months ago

Rich and interesting with a little bit of a funk, but still feels elevated. Young wines are good but it does mellow nicely with some aging in bottle. — 7 years ago

Lots going on with this wine. Progression from light to dark fruit to tart, slightly sour finish. Dried cherry, forest floor, acidic. — 3 months ago

2017 Ravine White Springs Vineyard Dry Riesling (Finger Lakes). Nine years old and still seems youthful. Great nose of zesty Granny Smith and slightly unripe Cortland apples and lots of high-toned stony minerality. Palate is concentrated and intense, lots of crisp acid to balance the deep fruit and intense stones. Lipsmackingly delicious. 9.3 (This is a re-post because @Delectable Wine deep-sixed the original) — 2 months ago
