Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This is a delicious Barolo from the great Cannubi Vineyard. Well balanced with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.
This 12 year old is great right out of the bottle. Soft and smooth. Elegant and fruity.
Didn't need too long to open up. It was shining after 45 minutes in the decanter. Loved the nose here. Delicious stuff.

It was very acidity and a bit bland at first. Maybe it needed more time, but decanted for 3ish hours and it tasted a lot like mushrooms, balsamic, black currant and a touch of underbrush with forest floor- with a touch of oak and spice. It was tannic but there was a lack of something in the mid palate and fruit. As I drank the last glass after 5 hours of decanting, it started to open up beautifully. All the aforementioned characteristics but with a strong mid palate filled with dark fruit. Delicious. Not as good as other vintages but this is worth drinking but give it some time to decante. Tasted blind . Slightly cloudy, quite light garnet and wide garnet rim . Slightly funky on the nose , slightly deeper darker fruits , quite light in frame , slightly ethereal . Wild strawberry , raspberry , light herbal hints . Quite reserved and elegant on the palate , quite light tannins , fresh acidity . Slightly simple , but ok length finish. 2020 vintage. Tasted with the winemaker. The "safe spot" in the current lineup. Verry approachable vintage for Barolo and this effort comes the closest to upholding usual expectations. Medium body. Some earth/dirt. Fruit apparent but not nearly the oodles cascading over the infinity juice pool as from this producer's 2020 Cannubi or Mosconi efforts. Structure solidly in place. This is a very tasty Barbaresco. Easy drinking and elegant, but not as smooth as I expected it to be.
This 5 year old feels like it needs more time in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.
This Single Vineyard Nebbiolo is complex and interesting. Good by itself and better with food.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged for 2 years in large oak barrels. A small production of only 3,500 bottles.
