Have we no wine? WSET 3 with Merit
Ultra tart. Herbaceous. Blood orange.
I’m an acid freak, and this one is up there. — 2 months ago
Perfect with red sauce pasta. Integrated oak notes, terrific Nebbiolo cherry and anise notes. Day 2: oak is more noticeable, a bit too much for me. — 4 months ago
One of my favorite Chenin Blanc’s… — 5 months ago
Riper dark cherry, more concentrated Langhe, A little baking spice and vanilla, but not off putting. Smooth tannins, lighter acid… could be confused for a Barolo or Barbaresco. Delicious. — 2 months ago
Warm vintage, not waiting any longer… this Produtorri hits the mark. — 3 months ago
Balanced Super Tuscan, restrained oak, bright Sangiovese in the blend. — 5 months ago
A big rich “Barolo Girl” wine, La Morra richness, lots of extraction, and French oak vanilla. If you are looking for lighter brighter traditional Barolo, this may not fit the bill. Very solid wine nonetheless. — 2 months ago
Too much funk for me on Day1. Olive tapenade, smoked meats, but some farmyard animal notes are hard to get around. — 3 months ago
Tough to admit: I like the less expensive Groppolo much better. Acacia and orange flowers, honeysuckle richness, but with the characteristic saline and mineral notes. Perhaps some lies aging or light oak are adding complexity? Very good, but atypical Vermentino. — 5 months ago

Solid Timorasso from Borgogno. 2019 vintage is less tropical than 2018... delicious! — 6 days ago
