Some fruit and still a lot of tannins. — 5 years ago
At first, this wine seemed slightly over the hill. Not sure if it was pairing with food, some aeration or the alcohol (in my head) that let this wine blossom in the glass. This wine sings after 30 minutes. Somewhat soft and round with lots of structure and backbone making a for a great balanced wine. — 8 years ago
Big acid. Dry, super clean, minerality. 24 hrs cold maceration. — 9 years ago

Earth, leather on the nose. Really nice tannins. A winner. — 12 years ago
2021 vintage.
Sangiovese 60 % and Cabernet Sauvignon 40 % from Pitigliano estate in Maremma, Tuscany with a southwest exposure.
Owned by Tommasi family since 1997.
Rompicolla is ‘breakneck’ but means tremendously steep and slippery slope…a risky adventure.
Soils are deep in volcanic tuff.
Stainless steel ferment and matured 1 year in 65 HL Slavonian oak casks.
Red cherries, raspberries, savoury spice, and floral.
Medium bodied but fresh and clean on the finish.
This wine loves food ….and I appreciate that. — 7 months ago
Seemingly more youthful than the notes on my last bottle, about 20 months ago, would suggest. A fair amount of bricking at the rim, but the nose shows a nice integration of dark macerated cherry, Provençal herbs, iodiney minerals, and sun-baked earth. In the mouth, the tannins are there but resolving. Decent concentration, and sneaky acidity lifts it up a bit. Nice! — 10 months ago
Perfecto balance entre ácido y dulce cítrico y frutoso — 5 years ago
Smell like a Dr Pepper but with none of the additives (obviously). Skrate cherry cola. Cranberry and cutting acidity. Supple and generous but light and pristine at the same time. Vg — 9 years ago

... forse la più grande bottiglia di vino base sangiovese mai assaggiata fino ad ora ! — 13 years ago
Vivid clear, color and tight, concentrated fruit. Cherries and plums and juiciness. Very delicious, but also seem to fade very quickly and it’s flavor. Corked it for a day and a half and came back to something that was quite quickly on its way out and had become round and just grape juicy. Maybe that’s on me for leaving it. — 8 months ago
