Not much left on the nose - a little whiff of pomegranate. Super savory and saline notes on the palate. Interesting. — 6 years ago
The darker side of Rivers Marie. Where all of the Occidental bottlings share red fruited characteristics this is more black fruits and fresh earth. The supporting acidity and the hours it still takes to open up give me hope that it should continue to develop in bottle. — 7 years ago
Loved! Interesting and earthy. — 7 years ago
Orange Chicken demands this wine. It's mid November and I cannot stop drinking lovely whites and rosés. God bless you @William Allen - Two Shepherds ! — 9 years ago
A modern day masterpiece - elegant and on point. — 9 years ago
Goes well with a nice pasta or salad in the afternoon with a mild taste and slight bite afterwards. — 10 years ago
Always love this wine. This vintage seems more fruit forward than other vintages with a lot of apple flavor. — 10 years ago
Outstanding - menthol & chocolate with juniper berries in there somewhere - oak remains a silent partner — 11 years ago
Nice everyday Pinot. — 6 years ago
A bit more on the cherry cola rather than just cherry end of the spectrum than I prefer, but nonetheless nice — 6 years ago
A little heavier than I remember but fully mature and fun to drink with friends. — 7 years ago
Ah, the Rocks at Milton-Freewater produce such remarkable and distinctive fruit. Morgan Lee’s take on the Stoney Vine Syrah is outstanding. Earthy, gamey, succulent, dark and full stone fruit (plum) that just keeps going. This is good for another 5 years I think. — 8 years ago
Big hype about this beer, as is "Hop Slam" this one much easy to get, in fact, in CA you can get in many places all the time, price is reasonable too, just check the bottled or canned on dates since it travels far, solid IPA, really nothing new or different, just done very well in the style, if you like your IPA's balanced between malt and hops, like Dogfish then this is perfect fit you, not for me, I prefer the hops be the "Show" but I am not knocking the Beer for that, just I think it is a little over rated — 9 years ago

Damn fine Pinot — 13 years ago
opaque purple, prominent glass staining tears; aromatic, blackberry jam, fig, lavender, kiss of vanilla; dense, intense, sweet black fruit, slightly minty finish; full bodied, medium+ acidity, nice tannin/texture, 14.5% ABV; sourced from a single choice block of Larkmead Vineyard in Calistoga, 100% Olmo clone; drinking beautifully now — 6 years ago
Just a special experience. The nose was powerful and dynamic evolving beautifully over 30 minutes. A smokey phase, a pine phase, and a strong floral phase. The palate was balanced and smooth. The fruit was dead but resembled fruit leather. Two bottles opened, one had grip left, the other didn't. #moutonrothschild #grandcruclassé #2ndgrowth #bordeaux #pauillac #1928 #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago
My last '07 😢. The entire case drank nicely all the way until the end! — 10 years ago
Perfect. It's f-ing perfect. — 11 years ago
Beautiful. Tannins need time (two, three centuries) — 13 years ago

Lush, succulent Pinot…dark ruby on pour, dark fruits rise out of the glass setting the stage for an enjoyable first sip…no noticeable tannins…lingering finish…this vintage is in a really good place today — 4 years ago
