Enjoyed this one with kofta on pitas and a lemon rice. Paired exceedingly well. Violet and cherry on the nose along with a whisper of rose hips . The color is rich and dark and there is a bit of tart cherry/red plum in the middle that fades away with the tannins that linger on your tongue. Soft and smooth is what comes to mind. Had the 2022 in June of 2025 and would drink again. Was an interesting grape that had a lot going on in this one. — 14 days ago
Had this one with steak off the grill and some garlic, Parmesan and cream potatoes. Dark reddish purple hue. Bigger body. Light tannins. Hint of pepper and spice. Some super light vanilla and black cherry. Enjoyed this one and would have again. — a day ago
Wine was a big jammy, fruit bomb. Nose was black cherry and white pepper. Light body and fruit forward with a bit of spice on the finish. Some pepper, vanilla and spice that pulled out the hint of nutmeg in the bolognese. Finish was short and sweet. Sort of feel like it was called Decoy because it was pretending to be something that it is not. Not the best pairing since this one drank a lot more like a merlot. Wine was a little sweeter than I usually like. — a day ago
Had the 2021 with shakshuka tonight. Paired well. Some blackberry and bramble. Some herbal qualities and licorice. A little spice, a little smoke, and a little oak. Lighter body but super approachable. Would buy this one again in a heartbeat. — 18 days ago
