On the nose: Intoxicating perfumed notes of stewed cherry, fig, herbaceous, roasted meat, funky earth, toasted marshmallow. Taste: opulent mature savory wine with ripe plum, licorice, saline, and a graphite dried herb long finish. YUM! Not bad for a harsh hot/dry vintage. — 20 days ago

I would have guessed Brunello rather than Barolo — a little lighter than expected. Granite, rose, violet, red fruit, Italianate acidity - but not overly complex. Enjoyable. Just squeaks into 91. Not a great value for the $35 I paid. — 21 days ago

This bottle didn’t live up to the brand

Decanted for 1 hour before dinner.

Really needed food. This wine was dark and not enjoyable unless paired with rich food.

今が2025年なので、21年前のワイン。

色はガーネット色になっていないように見える。
香りも熟成的なニュアンスはなく、とてもきれい。

飲んでみると、ドライローズ？アセロラ？

ネッビオーロとは思えない香り。ドルチェットもドルチェットらしからぬ香りだったが、その時と同じ香りがする。ジュゼッペマスカレッロ香とも言うべき香りなのか。。。

タンニンは完全に溶け込んでいて、澄み切ったというか、透明感のある果実味。
軽やかだが、緻密で焦点があった感じがする。
エレガントというかとにかく優しく繊細。
ブラインドではバローロ と言えないと思う。
唯一無二のワイン。

ちなみに、最後にオリも一切なし。本当に21年前のワインだったのだろうか。。。
