I’m a Tempest fan but others preferred The Bard. Young but fantastic. Could have spent more time opening but too many people for that. Magnum. — 6 months ago
Medium ruby , quite wide ruby / garnet rim , but very little bricking . Very young looking . Quite deep on the nose with dusty spiced cassis and dark fruits and coffee , slightly toasty , leather. On the palate quite dark fruits , cassis , spiced plum , roasted peppers , with those coffee notes. Quite sweet on the mid palate with ripe but still noticeable tannin, good balanced and acidity and balanced alcohol . Pretty decent length with a leather , coffee tinged finish . Still drinking very well , and will do over the next 5-8 years . — 8 months ago
Not worth its weight in gold nor wine. Over priced but I’d pay for the label all day everyday. Hahaha the French are annoying — 7 years ago
Love this stuff. They do such a great job. Black raspberry if I've ever tasted it, great acid, velvety tannins. — 10 years ago

Very pleasing. Cherries and raspberries, very smooth. Went great with couscous, a lot of veggies and merguez — 6 months ago

If you want some luxurious fruit to match your steak, once and a while, a fun break from quaffable! — 10 years ago
Promising red fruit on the nose but a bit too tannic—decanting was de rigueur. After 45 minutes it was better but still tight. It took a full two hours to open up fully and show interesting notes of tobacco, earth and pencil shavings to balance the fruit and acid. Tells me that I should wait another five years before opening my remaining bottles. Enjoyed the 2021 vintage with prime ribeye cap steak from Costco, chicken liver pate and Taleggio cheese, with visiting family (William, Teresa, Xander and Samantha). — 5 months ago

Ramey’s interpretation of #claret is quite interesting. After 9 years of bottle time it’s aged more than expected. Stewed plum, quite faint dark fruit on the nose. Prominent acidity on palate, primary fruit exited stage left, some sherry notes but still noticeable tannins. 68% #cabernetsauvignon, 18% #merlot, 6% #syrah, 4% #malbec, 4% #petitverdot — 8 months ago
A nice contrast to the ‘17 Right Bank, this left bank blend is rich and supple, with notes of black currant, cassis, cedar, cinnamon, forest floor, and violet. Warm and velvety with sleek acidity. Delicious tannins. I usually prefer the Right Bank, in particular for its QPR. But on this occasion, this left bank shines. — 10 months ago
Consistently great wine that is awesome with any meal that contains cheese. Seriously, you want to have this wine with either cheese appetizers or pizza. Absolutely fantastic!! — 9 years ago
Oak smell with dark raspberries and black peppers. Smith and well balanced. — 11 years ago

Very dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, flowers, asian apices and tobacco. The tannins are very elegant and the wine is very elegant and complex in the mouth. This is a fantastic vintage of Chasse Spleen and the wine is singing now. — 4 months ago
