Black cherry & blackberry with dark fruit, soft tannins and dark cherries in the palate. Paired well with a smoked cheese and spicy ham. — 7 months ago
Nose is faint, fully resolving into the body. Body is soft and supple but wonderful experience on the palate with medium finish. Great wine. Tannins are still there, but holding the body with gossamer gloves. — 9 months ago

1hour decant(some chunky/fine sediment). A striking still dark magenta color with little bricking. On the nose: Inviting notes of sweet red/blue fruit, smoked meat, floral, worn leather, nutmeg, wet forest floor. Taste: velvety, smooth, elegant, savory mature wine with dried cherries, cocoa, leather, scorched earth, and a minerally mocha long lingering finish. YUM!! — 6 months ago

I had a 1997 just over 2 years ago. Even with a 4 hour decant it wouldn’t budge. Still have a mag of 97, I don’t know when to even think about opening that one.
Fantastic lovely after 23 years still have a lot of life left well made — 8 months ago

Really incredible and dense. Thought it was excellent and took about 2 hrs to open. So much excellent dirt. — 5 months ago
Very drinkable, velvety smooth. Tasted out of magnum and the magnum went quickly — 6 months ago

Excellent - Scott /Sarah — 6 years ago
Decanted for 90 mins and was impressed. Depth of the second half of the bottle after 24 hours was even more impressive. Big range on this. Dark rich fruits and the lead is the nose as others have said. I’ll be back (yes! I wrote that before realizing what I was writing). My first experience with a Turnbull was a success. — 8 years ago
