Rich and layered. Bursting with ripe fruit this is a fast moving bottle. It doesn’t last very long. Ever sip is a treasure. The mix of the balanced grape selection with the Italian terrior gives this lots of heft and kick. I have had. A mixed success rate with this wine but this vintage is outstanding. — 7 months ago
Full bodied velvety tannins. Black fruits on the nose and almost chocolatey balanced finish. Paired with Beef Wellington. — 3 years ago
Plou plou goodness. — 7 years ago
Velvety mouthfeel with medium tannins. Robust red and dried fruits, finish of vanilla and graphite. Quaffable af. Would pair with lamb, rabbit, pork, cheese, hummus. Versatile. Honestly not worth it's price point. An off vintage from a delicious vinyard. Would not be hard to find a bottle 1/5 of the price. — 9 years ago
One of my faves. I ordered two half bottles - imagine my delight when I received two full bottles at the half bottle price. — 11 years ago
The 1970 Palmer is a vintage that I have tasted on several occasions, although recently, I have encountered some variation, including a rather rum example in 2015. The most recent example has an attractive tobacco-infused nose, perhaps more akin to a Saint-Julien than a Margaux. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm backbone, a slight dryness around the edges and fine salinity with lightly-spiced cedar and tobacco notes on the finish. This is a solid 1970 Margaux, though I would not keep it long-term. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2023)

Always a treat to have yquem. Nice amber in the glass. Lots of passion fruit on the nose and palate. Quite full and deep. Delicious - but, acid a notch under what I was hoping which keeps this from being higher. Still a lovely wine with a very long finish. — 7 months ago
A big bold plumy purple bomb As dense and luscious as a wine can get in a glass. Decanted for 2 hrs and its still a baby with blackberry, dark chocolate licorice and pepper on the nose and on the palate. A long long finish and loads of tannins to sum it all up — 5 years ago
Decanted. Not unforgiving, but still rigid. Showed some great potentials for a very long life ahead. Autumnal qualities with very concentrated redcurrant and earth. — 9 years ago
Another amazing bottle. This is quite smooth and rounded at this point. Lots of mellowed fruit and the perfect amount of slight bite. Color is medium. Just gorgeous. — 6 months ago
Had at twelve thirty club in Nashville. Very good with Waygu Bolognese. — 7 months ago
Mr Dunn has another hit! I’m a red fanatic with no shame. But it truly compliments the strong Long Shadows Collection with it’s intense starting notes and light finish. — 8 months ago
Ruby with complex fruit aromas, spice and oak. Blend of 89% Tempranillo & 11% Graciano, aged 48 months on American oak. On the palate flavors of jammy dark berry fruits with spice & smoky earthy notes on ripe full soft tannins. Long finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with fruit, oak, cigar box spice and mineral earthy tones, a joy to Sip this Fine Wine!! Tasting great, has more aging potential! — a year ago
Outstanding CA cab: smooth tannin, great body and long finish. — 7 years ago
Birthday wine! First impression: deep and inky. I'm certain if I drank this regularly I would have deep purple teeth. Took a bit to open up -- initially the 15% ABV is a bit much -- but once it breathes it really is quite nice. Loads of dark fruit, some oak, and spice. That all said, this still fell a bit short of expectations given the price point. — 8 years ago
Great balance and when fresh bursting with "west coast" hop flavor. — 9 years ago

The weakest vintage of Dom I’ve had in a long time — 6 months ago
