A knockout left bank Bordeaux. I’ve read that the 2005s may go longer than the potentially even more vaunted 2000s and I might agree based on this bottle. Decanted 5 hours. Cork in perfect shape. Amazing depth of fruit and a ton of Bordeaux earth. Nose goes on and on as does the finish. Was an excellent pairing but a very good but simple roast chicken. — a month ago

Blend of about 73% Sauvignon Blanc and 27% Semillon, aged in oak for 8 months. Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits with biscuit and floral notes. On the palate flavors of peach, golden apple and melon with white floral and herb notes. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, herb and yeasty notes, lively acidity with slight smoky mineral character. Very nice. Bold but not abrasive with alcohol like younger Bordeaux can be. Cab dominant but can tell the Merlot is there too - balanced but you can still tell the cab comes first. Medium deep ruby garnet core , quite narrow garnet ruby rim. Grafite , cassis , deeper , darker fruit than the 2017. Blackberry and some ash and tobacco. On the palate this is deeper, with more darker fruit also, grafite , cassis and with a roundness and richness that the 2017 doesn’t have . Quite fresh acidity and gritty tannins , good length with grafite and cassis freshness . This is showing well but can still improve over the next 5 or so years and will last well over the next 10 years if not more . Dense dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Fruity nose of black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, chocolates, spices, dark coffee, vegetables, herbs and black pepper.

Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate and fruit forward with blackberries, black currants, black plums, tobacco leaf, cedar, light earth, spices, dark coffee, herbs, dark chocolates, peppercorn and black tea.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious 15 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from the great 2010 vintage in Bordeaux. Rich and extracted. Complex and engaging. Powerful and spicy.

Showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel. Fruit forward and interesting.

Drinking very nicely now and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food, like a big piece of steak.

A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. Aged in (60% new) French Oak barrels for 21 months.

2014 vintage. Last tasted 07.04.25 (9.3) and 01.30.25 (9.3). Decanted with some sed and tasted after 30 mins. Consistent with previous tastings in 2025. Hint of richness up front, then very businesslike afterwards. Fairly dry but began to fold a modicum of fruit into the proceedings a spell ago. Quintessential, affordable BDX with a decade of service tendered out in the boonies but back in town again and starting to hit the hot spots. Lean but not mean.
