Fabulous white Lange from Novello — 6 months ago
Clear, pale ruby to garnet in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary aromas of raspberries, cherries, and roses; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, full body and pronounced primary flavors of cherry syrup, strawberries, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is balanced and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 7 months ago

One of my favorite Italians — 10 years ago
More than 4 years since last bottle from this case. Interesting comparison against the La Spinetta Barolo last night. The Langhe is still fruit forward, denser, thicker, deep round cherry, much more rustic, less floral, stronger tannins up in the front of the mouth. Still excellent though. — 5 months ago
Needs sometime to open up, really enjoyed the last 1/3 of the bottle! — 6 months ago
— 8 months ago

A barbera that comes across like a light barolo! Light but very grippy tannins, light-medium body. Med+ acidity, hints of wet forest floor funk, lots of early onset black fruits and punchy red fruits later. Tail falls off a bit pretty quick but otherwise nice drinking. — 2 years ago
Ripe cherries, light and delicious — 6 years ago
Medium bodied, soft tannins very easy to drink — 9 years ago
Wow. Just wow. How does this 1983 still have this much tannin? Maybe I shouldn't be so shocked, but this wine is just beautiful right now. Soft and approachable on the front, with dark fruit and tobacco and leather. But then some surprisingly strong tannins. How much longer could this 33 year old juice last?! Bravo Gaja. 2024 vintage.
From vineyards in La Morra, Alba, Guarene and Castagnito in Langhe.
Stainless steel fermented at low temperatures and rests on fine lees through winter before bottling.
Bright straw yellow in colour.
Fragrant aromatics of dried Chamomile, Acacia flowers and almonds.
In the mouth…stone fruit, white peach, herbs and Asian pear.

New wine and grape for us. Really enjoyed this one. Light straw color. A little bit of lemon and floral notes. Some pear and stone fruits. A touch of minerality and a slight effervescence that made me think of vinho verde and champagne. Would drink this again in a heartbeat. — 7 months ago
Dark fruit, tobacco, smooth and deep. Great value! — 8 months ago
Lovely light ruby red with aromas of juicy ripe red plums, Ranier Cherries and rhubarb. Taste of red raspberries and strawberry. An enjoyable blend of acidity and tannins. This dry, medium bodied wine is an excellent addition to any collection. — a year ago

Floral, strawberry, cherry, leather, searing acid, screaming tannins. I see where Nebbiolo gets it from. A beautiful wine, but definitely needs time. — 6 years ago

One of the best langhe nebbiolos I’ve had recently, especially for a relatively reasonable price on the list at Leon’s. And a great pairing with pork braciole as well. Lots of fruit, but still quite refined, with great texture and acid. Quite pretty and delicious. — 5 months ago
