Grapes Of Roth

Finca La Melonera

La Encina Inglés Ronda Garnacha-Syrah Blend 2021

€16 on the restaurant wine list. This is from a winery in hills of Costa del Sol, town of Ronda. A blend but not sure of the varietals but some Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, & Tintilla de Rota, which are grapes of the local area. I suspect the grapes may change with the vintage. Enjoyed! We need to visit this wine region of Spain. — 3 months ago

Sonoma County Chardonnay 2020

Grapes sourced from 60 vineyard lots, aromas of citrus fruits & sweet spice. On the palate ripe fruits, apple, pear and peach with lemon citrus and vanilla, a touch of toasty oak. Some oak aging, nice balance, medium+ finish ending with fruit and toasty oak finish. I continue to have this wine as a staple in my cellar for a number of years. Enjoy! Great value, compared to Chards costing more! — 6 months ago

Louis Latour

Pouilly-Fuissé Chardonnay 2019

All of the grapes from the vineyards owned by the Latour family are vinified and aged in the cuverie of Château Corton Grancey in Aloxe-Corton. The winery was the first purpose-built cuverie in France and remains the oldest still-functioning. Pale lemon with aromas of stone fruits with a slight floral character. On the palate peach flavors with lemon nutty notes. The finish has lively acidity and ends with some of minerality. — 9 months ago

Bonny Doon Vineyard

Vin Gris De Cigare Rosé Grenache Blend 2019

Primarily Grenache (79%) with small amounts of Six other grapes. Aromas and flavors of strawberry, peach, melon, tropical fruits and dusty earth. There is also a hint of brioche and a very creamy texture (lees contact?). Touch of pepper spice on the finish. Bright acidity. Refreshing. — 6 months ago

Palazzo della Torre Veronese Corvina Blend 2018

Delectable Wine

The 2018 Palazzo della Torre comes to life in the glass with a vibrant mix of balsam herbs, black cherries and cloves. It’s cool-toned in feel, yet silky and stacked with dark fruits and exotic spices. A tantalizing mix of zesty acids and minerals keeps the energy high, as the 2018 tapers off potent yet completely balanced and fresh. The Palazzo della Torre is fantastic, especially at this price point. After tasting the 2017 last year, I was a little worried about a stylistic change, but talk about making a comeback. This is a mix of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Sangiovese, where a small portion of the grapes are left to raisin for three months prior to vinification. Soft velvet tannins, still young, long finish, well integrated and nicely balanced, a joy to drink. Will age a long time. A Wow factor wine!! — 5 months ago
