Cuvée Girard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2018

I think I opened this too young? Was very closed all night, but then I tried it again 5 nights later and it felt like it was just coming down from peak. It had fruit and gentle tannin. — 3 months ago

Just delicious! I’ve had great luck w/Savoie wines and this was no different: pours extremely dark, inky, opaque, brooding taking its time to unfurl black & red fruit w/depth, earthy w/a hi tone note along with licorice and forest floor. Big mouth filling broad across palate, gobs of fruit but all fit into sturdy tannic frame. Well cut - a Country Squire — 2 years ago
