This 2017 is simply beautiful, silky, lithe, balanced., delicate and nuanced. Dusty dry with fresh and reduced cherries, mineral backbone, hints of leather and potpourri. — 2 months ago
If there was a poster for “ food friendly” wine this 2019 would be on it. Nearly perfect in every way. Light lively fresh , fruity, earthy, deep, lingering, literally mouthwatering. A Thursday night wine when your week is just about over and you have a veal parmagiana heating up. Here’s to the simple pleasures of life. — 4 months ago
A nearly perfect right bank Bordeaux for a fair price. Leather, grilled cherries licorice crushed berries with a velvety deep body and great structure, drinking now snd probably over next 3 years — 5 months ago
Got this 2015 as a gift . Massive. Hazelnutty, amaretto cookies some pineapple and orchard fruits with a nice acid grip. Kind of the Liz Taylor of whites. Really good with an aged cheddar and a boucheron. Without a doubt the heftiest Burgundy I’ve had. Impressive yet not quite my style. Retails just shy of $200. — a month ago
Have had the 2021 3 times over the past several weeks ( October). Bottled in June, it’s a bright and zippy as can be. Crystallized ginger, pear, apple blossoms, mouthwatering acidity. Right there on the same stage as a Saumur or Anjou. About $27 a bottle. I will assume this has a long interesting lifespan, but so good now it might prove impossible to keep. — 3 months ago
This w 2021 Viognier is exceptional. Great balance between its vibrant acidity snd lush fruit and flowers. Having it in a Solvang Airbnb courtyard probably 30 miles away from where it is grown. A true classic. — 4 months ago
Had this 2021 as part of a tasting flight at Foxen this October. Having it now. Incredibly bright acidity. A lot of melon, citrus and cranberry flavors. Aromatic and full bodied and dry throughout. — a month ago
Interesting organic red. Earthy herbal aromas with a zippy bright sour cherry and red candied apple fruit. A Pet Nat zestiness. Nice acidity. — 3 months ago
This 2019 was stunning at Foxen’s 7600 facilty a few weeks ago. Having it tonight with Montreal seasoned steak tips but almost can’t eat because each sip is so intriguing. Deeply macerated blueberries and blackberries, earth bracken notes. Fruit is surrounded by herbs and savory spices. Soft tannins but structured and firm. Premier cru level . Hard to imagine a better house than Foxen ( maybe Melville) for the greatest USA Pinots. True Burgundy rivals., while retaining new world fruit. Will probably become an evanescent spice box in 10 years. Gorgeous now. Will try to wait on a bottle to see how it evolves. — 4 months ago

Orange zest and minerals dominate the palate. Electric, nervous and lively. Could be mistaken as a Sancerre. Old school classic that is all about terroir — a day ago
