Golden delicious apples, citrus, stones, soft tannins and medium plus acidity. Better than it’s been. — 7 hours ago
Medium ruby garnet , quite thin garnet ruby rim . Quite rounded blackberry , cassis , red plum , violet, cedar and burnt embers . On the palate this is quite elegant and red fruited ,red plum , cherry , blackberry and hint of red currant . Quite rounded and generous , balanced acidity and suave , velvety tannins . Medium length , with slightly smoky red fruit finish . This is showing well now , and is the middle of its drinking window . Now and over the next 5 years or so — 20 days ago
it’s giving dirt! In the best way. Stone fruit. Fresh acidity. Barnyard funk. I love this — a month ago
Pascal et Nicolas Reverdy – Sancerre Rosé “Terre de Maimbray” 2016
Loire Valley, France 🇫🇷
Overview
From the limestone-rich slopes of Maimbray, Reverdy crafts this 100% Pinot Noir rosé, showing how Sancerre can shine not only in whites but also in elegant, age-worthy rosés. Though Sancerre is world-famous for Sauvignon Blanc, about 20% of its vineyards are planted to Pinot Noir, which can be vinified as red or rosé. This bottle demonstrates just how gracefully a Loire rosé can evolve with time.
Aromas & Flavors
Wild strawberry, raspberry, and redcurrant with rose petals and dried herbs. With age, subtle tones of candied orange peel and a light spice develop, adding dimension without overpowering.
Mouthfeel
Silky and rounded, with acidity still intact to keep it lively. Medium-bodied with a savory edge, balancing freshness and maturity.
Food Pairing
Perfect alongside charcuterie, grilled salmon, or roast chicken. The evolved texture also makes it a great partner for mushroom risotto or lentil dishes.
Verdict
A rare aged rosé that proves Pinot Noir from Sancerre can deliver both finesse and staying power. Still vibrant after 9 years, this wine highlights Reverdy’s skill and the region’s versatility beyond Sauvignon Blanc. — 22 days ago

Jan de Weerd
Incredible Nerello Mascalese wine from the slopes of Mt Etna. Made with Burgundian precision by Terre Nere. Bursting with vibrant minerality and fresh dark red fruit supported by soft, small grain tannins guiding it to a smooth, lingering finish. Rivaling a Grand Cru from Burgundy. If you haven’t tried a wine from Mt Etna yet, this is the year!!! — 8 days ago
