Black cherries, cola, currant. Still fairly tannic. Not a lightweight. — 2 years ago
This stuff is brilliant. The 2019 is a bit more perfumed, a little more viscous. This 2018, though, is the big winner: light in color, grassy nose, and then lemon rind and brine. Maaaaybe a touch of green apple. This drinks like a Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, and that’s a wonderful thing. — 3 years ago

Black fruit, tart cherry, currants. Brilliant. — 2 years ago
So light. Mild effervescence making it seem lighter still. Citrus. Mineralogy. Good acid. Just great. — 2 years ago
Lemon, grapefruit, briny. Super crisp and goes down oh-so-easy. — 2 years ago
Honey, hay, brine. All day, every day. — 2 years ago
Banana laffy taffy. This one was long gone. — 2 years ago
Everyone has said pear, and I wholeheartedly agree. Acidity is too low for Chenin, and the finish has an oak-y, oleaginous character. I’m not sold, but I’m also not turning down a second glass to see how it develops. — 3 years ago

This was the best that Toulouse ever made, and I had hoarded it. Opened one of my last two bottles and I’m sorry to report that’s it’s well past prime. Thin and having lost some of the mineral edge that made it special. Still sipped on might one, but it’s the end of the era. — a year ago
