Really good blend. Took me only two decades to try this Duckhorn offshoot. Plush and mellow tannins. — 3 months ago
Medium straw yellow . Quite rich on the nose , some toasty notes with some wax and yellow fruits , citrus peel, vanilla . On the palate this is all about the texture , quite round but enough balance , blanched almonds , peach. Waxy notes . Good length . Drink now and over the next few years , in a perfect place . — 5 months ago
A real favorite. What a value — 6 months ago
Очень приятное, ароматное (при охлаждении) и сладкий чернослив на вкус. У французов. — 7 months ago
Overall nice red blend. Well balanced, moderate fruit. Enjoyed — 8 months ago
Not worth its weight in gold nor wine. Over priced but I’d pay for the label all day everyday. Hahaha the French are annoying — 8 years ago
2008 delightful and easy to drink. — 11 years ago
Even at 13 years this is yet as powerful and robust as in its first years.
Loads of blackfruit and chocolate in the nose and some hints of tar.
In the mouth silky, long and a nice acidity to balance. It benefits btw from decanting as it is way better on day 2. — 6 months ago

Dark fruits, intense colour, great legs. A real bargain. — 9 years ago

Smooth slight pineapple but not too tart. Buttery, but not too sweet. Refined. — 3 months ago
fun bottle - will be great in 5 years. nice pre-ripe black currant on the finish — 4 months ago
Lacks complexity but its a truly excellent bottle and is singing now. Really good wine that is long lasting in bottle. Classical style. — 6 months ago
This Malbec dominant Bordeaux blend from Mendoza, Argentina offers a full body with notes of black pepper, plum, and blackberry. It has smooth, developed tannins with a medium finish. This wine paired beautifully with steak. — 6 months ago
Drinking alongside the Sliver, the ‘21 Chalk Hill comes across as richer and more extracted, offering dense layers of blackcurrant, blackberry paste, dark chocolate, and roasted herbs. The palate is deep and mouth-coating, showing ample oak sweetness and firm tannins, but the concentration slightly outweighs its sense of balance. Power and ripeness dominate, giving a bold, muscular Bordeaux style expression. — 9 months ago
Back in CA attacking the cellar...not remembering where I acquired this but really enjoyed! Haven’t followed this winery for awhile but probably should. I don’t think I have any more of this. — 6 years ago
As always, mega solid. Def one of my fave expressions of Carmenere. — 10 years ago
