Made detailed notes and then lost them....must be an over 70’s thing. This wine was #6 in the 2014 Wine Spectator Top 100. Not your typical Chianti Classico with a small 7% of Merlot and 10% Malvasia Nera with small oak maturation. The first of 5. Some cherry/ red fruited notes. Savoury dry tannins. I prefer the more traditional style of CC. — 21 days ago
Wonderful, juicy — 7 days ago
Dark berries, dry but smooth & fresh, very balanced acidity with a long finish. A fine modern Brunello. Thought it was a little early to open, but was delicious. — 19 days ago

This 5 year old Sangiovese from Napa Valley is drinking very nicely now. Elegant and easy drinking.
Needs a few hours to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too.
Smooth with nice complexity and mouthfeel. Tangy and interesting.
Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.
A nice interpretation of a New World Sangiovese.
Good by itself, and will pair nicely with barbecue meats.
A blend of 96% Sangiovese with 4% Merlot. Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months (35% new).
14.9% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
