#AgedWineTuesday
Celebrating our wedding anniversary, with a Vintage Champagne from the same year.
Light yellow in color with a golden hue.
Strong nose of bread, spices, earth, wet leaves, herbs, yeast, white pepper, lemons, yellow apples and river rocks.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and soft, small bubbles.
Dry on the palate with light citrus, over ripen apples, spices, yeast, bread, river rocks, herbs and white pepper.
Short finish with limes.
This 28 year old Champagne is still delicious, although probably on its last leg.
Showing great complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Soft and elegant.
Not much fruit is left, but enough to make it tangy and interesting.
Thank you Judy for sharing this with us.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with caviar and good friends. Very tasty, especially with the caviar.
12% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Really in a beautiful place. Interestingly, the last wine we had from this vintage was the veilles vignes and it was not in a great place. This is really delicious - even with a soft spot since we served the 07 of this wine at our wedding. So much pretty medium red fruit with perfect acid and a long finish. No decant. — 6 years ago
The consensus among Biblical scholars is that Jesus turned water into pinot noir for his first miracle. This bottle confirms that, even though it doesn’t quite reach the quality served at Cana that fateful day. — 7 years ago

AirBnB host left this for us for our anniv. That’s a solid. Delicious. Haven’t had this since @Turd Ferguson ‘s wedding. Gotta grab some quantity. — 4 years ago
2010 vintage. Deep ruby-red color, full bodies, smooth mouthfeel, grippy tannins on a long, dry finish. A complex wine w blackberry, currant, cocoa, wild herb, earth & tobacco. Serious balanced structure, could lay down longer. — 6 years ago

A sparkling gift from a few weeks ago after the wedding! Dry and crisp, and very smooth. — 8 years ago
A wine from Jorge Ordóñez and his winemaking team. Pale lemon color with crisp stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and melon with lemon citrus, consistent offering from La Cana. Medium finish ending with fruit, spice and mineral tang. Nice value. — 9 months ago
This bubbly has a special place in my heart because we drank it at my wedding. Still love it. — 6 years ago
Good flavor notes. — 6 years ago
Herbal aromas (typically Margaret River) with Geranium Capsicum and a touch of menthol. Some green notes - medium weight. Savoury wins out over Cassis and black fruits. Not in the upper echelon of Margaret River Cabernet. Just a silver medal. We went to the Cellar Door some years ago and the story goes that the Reserve Cab was served at the wedding of Prince Frederick of Denmark to Sydney Real Estate agent Mary Donaldson originally from Tasmania now Crown Princess Mary and one day will become the Queen of Denmark. Fred is a keen sailor who was representing Denmark at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and they met at Sydney hotspot The Slip Inn where Fred was flashing his Black AMEX so the story goes and was captivated by Mary and the rest is history. — 7 years ago
