So perfumed, big red/black fruit, then the aromatic florals of roses, lavender, then few seconds later, acid/tannin roll in...just so many things happening at once... #Gaja , well done...went perfect with our bolognese..

This evolved tremendously over 45 minutes but needed much more time to open up and come together. The nose was incredibly complex with truffle and ripe black fruit at the front. The palate was wound up, ripe, and alcoholic. The tannins were tight and the acid was low. Med + length. Needs time for the palate to develop. #gaja #langhe #nebbiolo #italy #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
