Opened about 30 minutes prior to dinner but no decant. Served slightly chilled. The 2016 “Blanche” pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. Developing with notes of ripe stone fruit, tropical fruit, nutmeg, white pepper, minerals and cotton candy. On the palate, the wine is dry with lower acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. This is a wine of impeccable texture to match the king crab legs with dinner. Drink now through 2031. — 7 months ago
2017 vintage. Last tasted 6.1.22 with same score. Perfume of fennel, Chambord, lavender, ripe dark plum and dusty bookshelf. Moonless, winter night color. Medium-heavy body. Gamey and mineralesque but otherwise, clean on the finish. A very light Reposado tequila pop up flavoring approx 45 seconds after savoring the finish. No, haven’t had any tequila in months. 10.30.23. — 2 years ago
Earthy with notes of herbs and stone. — 4 years ago
Fresh-no sugar- blueberry pie of a nose.
Well crafted, heavier bodied wine, unified berry blend, blue and black fruits working together in unison, a harmonic balance. Iodine and gravel carried this wine to the inevitable end - of high acid and new barrel like tannins.
Absolutely Lovely. A bit young, sometimes I cannot help myself. — 5 years ago
started with alot of barnyard that then dissapeared and revealed mint and dark fruits as well as cherry and spice. Should have decanted! — 6 years ago
I was going through my La Chapelle section today and my eyes got stuck on this 1999 - bottle looked absolutely pristine and I decided it was a perfect age to drink. Cork was in great condition and the wine was powerful and youthful with no signs of oxidation. Could have kept the bottle for a few more years, but it was probably perfect today. All the complex leathery earthy goodness you expect from this wine was there. — 4 months ago
Fresh, plenty of spice/black pepper, dried currants and dark raspberry. Liked this a lot and had forgotten how good this wine is. — 5 years ago
Pronounced rich aromas of ripe dark fruits and spices. On the palate ripe cherry and plum with rustic spices and some tea notes. Fine ripe tannins, with slight grippy edge, hints of oak on medium+ finish ending with fruit and slight mineral edge. Nice Hermitage. Nice! — 6 years ago
Bought from Perrine’s. Delicious! Light with lots of flavor. Needs time to aerate. — 5 months ago
2016 vintage. The Jaboulet whites seem to have improved spectacularly under the Caroline Frey reign, as demonstrated by this amazing 2016. Light golden colour. Intense complex perfume of quince, pear, pineapple and lemon confit, intertwined with floral and mineral notes. In the mouth it is powerful and refined at the same time, with layers of fruit and spices, balanced by an attractive almondy bitterness. Impressively long mineral finish. Abv. 14%. — 3 years ago
A beautiful red from Rhone valley! One of my favourite French reds. — 5 years ago

07 is in a fabulous place, expressive, detailed and defined wafting layers of creme de cassis, camphor and violets with a vibrant and velvety palate with soft tannins and a long mineral inflicted finish. An absolute classic and an elegant rendition in 2007, and fully open for business! — 4 months ago
