The Crown Gap has never been my favorite from them. Still solid. Also, needs 3-4 more years in bottle to integrate. 91+ with that kind of age.
The Truffle Mac & Cheese was a big hit with the crowd, I’m allergic to mushrooms.
At Pebble Beach Food & Wine 2025
The ticket to this event has a pretty big price tag. But when you consider what a Napa etc. tasting or two and lunch would cost you, you are pretty much there and there is so much more than that. It ends up having great value. It’s wine, spirits and food candy land. — 2 months ago

Bought this for research for our Napa/Sonoma trip 2025. We loved it! — a month ago
2021 vintage. Pleasant throughout and hit plenty of notes without screeching. The KB style has changed in the last few years. Gone are the mega-extracted pinots altho those are still around and holding up in the cellars/secondary market. Those older wines were a 10 on the volume scale. The last few vintages are closer to a 5. That said, this should hold up and develop nicely for a decade+ without issues. Those that don't think you can drink CA pinot noir over 4-5 years old are in for quite the surprise with quality producers. 04.18.25. — 2 months ago

Overripe cherries, floral notes, lingering finish, medium-bodied, high alc for Pinot — 2 months ago
Excellent Pinot but I think inferior to the Tetarossa lineup — 3 months ago
Complex flavors of chamomile, melon, white stone fruits with skin contact structure, dry and crisp — 5 months ago
After breathing, smooth with some body but a little more tart than we prefer for a cab. — a month ago
Great as usual. Cherry, strawberry, wood — a month ago
Lead pencil, veg, spice cedar combo and some dark plums on the nose. The taste had some plums and a bit of veg. The finish was okay but a bit short. Overall a great wine and my last 2016 and now on to the 2017s. — 2 months ago
Ruby in color with a wide reddish/brick rim.
Fruit forward on the nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing sweet cherries, raspberries, blueberries, black currants, plums, chocolates, light oak, earth, cola, herbs, spices, light vanilla, licorice, peppercorn and tobacco leaf.
Nice tangy finish with soft tannins.
This 6-year-old Zinfandel blend from Sonoma County is drinking at its peak. Spicy and fruit forward. Elegant and juicy.
Great right out of the bottle, but even better after a few hours of air, when the complexity really comes to life.
The alcohol is very nicely integrated by now. Easy drinking and nicely balanced. A great sipping wine.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
