Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

It’s been 4 years since my last bottle of this 2016. Really softened up. Easy drinking tannins, well balanced. Dark fruit, blackberry, walnuts, baking spices, melted chocolate. Medium plus finish. Very nice. — a day ago

Seven Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir 1998

This 1998 7 Springs Pinot seems mature, supple, candied red fruits, nice balance, good length, but not quite a typically-excellent bottle of this wine. — 3 months ago

La Source Seven Springs Estate Pinot Noir

Opens up with juicy plums, cherries and apples. The acidity carries through but is tempered by an undercurrent of wood and smoke. Easy to drink and elegant. — a month ago

Seven Hills Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Purple in color with a purplish rim.

Strong nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing cherries, currants, plums, chocolates, light wood, herbs, spices and peppercorn.

Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a very tasty and easy drinking Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla Valley. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex and entertaining.

This Single Vineyard Cabernet is still very young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$65.

This wine from Saxum is a great value — smooth, even fruit; great balance overall. 79% syrah, 7% petite sirah, 7% grenache, 5% mourvédre. 97 points from Robert Parker and $129 when I bought it from K&L although market looks more like $160 now. — 9 months ago

Columbia Valley Dry Rosé Blend 2021

New summer, new vintage to try. Pale salmon pink, excellent clarity. Nectarine note in nose, even when well chilled. Floral, nectarine and lemon flavors, blessedly dry, mineral finish with a touch of skin astringency. Love this wine! — 4 years ago
