Had at Kavel's: Notes of dark cherry, cola, baking spice, a touch of vanilla oak, and soft tannins. — 9 days ago
Plum coloration. Some translucency. On the nose, cola, sage, peppercorn. On the palate, cherry, cranberry, and blood orange. — 13 days ago
This is a pleasant stunner of citrus zest and tart apple. Whoa! Note to self: 12 is not sufficient supply. — 10 days ago
Cherry, raspberry, blueberry, cinnamon, and oak. Maybe a touch young but still delightful. — a month ago

Still a favorite. Even at 7 years it’s showing fresh with blackberry and plum over the cocoa it’s taken on in aging. Smooth and silky with oak and a touch of vanilla. — 15 days ago

A blend from several vineyards, including Middle Reach, Green Valley, Santa Rosa Plain, and the Laguna Ridge area. Bright Ruby color, purple edges, with aromas of ripe fruits, floral and complex spice. On the palate concentrated flavors of raspberry, cherry and currants with pepper, tea, herbs, vanilla and oak, aged on French oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with spice, ripe fruit and oaky tones. Very Nice! — 21 days ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2015 “Southing” pours a deep ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and bruised strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, red flowers, mushroom and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. Drink now through 2035. — 5 hours ago
