See previous notes for the 2006 Stonewell. Supple and smooth showing masses of plum and blackberry from old vine Barossa Shiraz. Aniseed/liquorice notes. A certain astringency to finish off. I’ve tasted this so many times, but almost always in horizontal lineups together with its more prestigious siblings and instead I just opened a bottle and a weekday and really thoroughly enjoyed it.
