Lokoya

Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Honestly I was expecting more from this wine. Super dry with a lot of structure from nose to long finish. Could use a little more fruit. This wine was very tight upon opening and needs at least a 2 hour decant to open up. — 18 days ago

The Hess Collection

Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Malbec, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits with spice, herb and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, ripe cherry and blueberry with currants, cacao, pepper and tobacco notes. Fine grainy tannins, good structure, long finish, great mouthfeel, ending with cedar, fruit and tobacco spice notes. Very Nice. — 2 months ago

Really nice, surprisingly smooth and definitely not critter wine. WOM 8-22 — 2 months ago

O'Shaughnessy

Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Back up for a older, corked cab. This bottle had a beautiful color; subtle, dark berries and stone fruits; and a bit of tobacco. Enjoyable complement to grilled rib eye. — 14 days ago

Shaw and Smith

M3 Vineyard Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2019

We first tasted this at the cellar door in March 2021 and were so impressed I gave this 96 points. See previous Delectable note. Very balanced showing roasted nuts, ripe grapefruit and a little sulphidic funk. Palate a little on the delicate side in this showing. This was following the 11 year old Oakridge 864 Funder and Diamond which was a hard act to follow and had gobs of sulphidic funk/struck match. Will leave the next Shaw + Smith 2019 Chardonnay for a year or 2. — 2 months ago

Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2017

The purest shimmering shiraz fruit, wrapped in a shroud of fine savoury tannin. Very deep blue, and black fruit. The framing of the fruit speaks to the skill of the winemaker. Dark and quietly serious but with savoury freshness. VG — 10 days ago

Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

That intoxicating, beguiling nose that only aged CA cabernet of a certain pedigree can provide. Developing and in a lovely place. Palate is medium plus, cherry, worn leather, tobacco, cedar. Finish is a slightly blunted tannic rapier. Soulful & lovely. — a month ago

Well put. Such a well made and indeed soulful interpretation of the grape and terroir.
