This was a by-the-glass favorite at the Loire property where we stayed. Biodynamic Pinot d’Aunis. Lots of wild red berries complicated by earthy, peppery and floral tones — 6 months ago
See note from 2015 - this had more pronounced citrus & white flowers on the nose, still oily & viscous, some herbal on palate, citrus pith, tropical fruit, vaguely Condrieu-esque, fascinating wine, lovely expression of Chenin. Has stuffing for another 5 yrs. Sec Tendre — 9 months ago
Pale lemon with scents of sweet citrus notes, underripe mango, pear, pineapple core and honeysuckle form the nose of this light white. The palate is round and a little heavy in feel at first, medium acidity, hints of citrus and honey lifts the wine to a medium finish with a mineral character. — 3 years ago

Amazing tobacco/leather profile for a super light wine — 12 years ago
Pineapple, beeswax, pear and wet stone. Rich full bodied Chenin with beautiful acidity. When it’s first opened it had a nice funk of mushroom / wet forest with a clean mineral undertone. Balanced. I want a case stack for the summer. — 5 months ago

Love this. Delicious dark fruits with some funk to go with them. — 5 years ago
This is an excellent modern-day entry level Cabernet Franc. Dazzlingly simple, yet awash with refreshing weight, dark fruit, Chinese spices, and a subtle dollop of black/green tea. If you are looking for something less obvious go back to red Burgundy. (This red straddles old world structure with new world gloss. I fear gloss will eventually win out. But for now...👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾) — 6 years ago
Honeydew and melon. Pineapple. Good acidity to counter sweetness. Off dry. Slight peach hint. Very complex flavor profile with floral aroma. Warm oily mouthfeel. — 10 years ago
Perfect with a pasta and overall a very good wine — 10 months ago
Lovely smell and full mouthfeel. A real kick from the tannins to end it off (a tad too much without food). — 2 years ago
Dark olive and bay leaf with plum. Hint of charcoal — 5 years ago

Excellent, fruit forward but not sweet, dry finish, very smooth — 7 years ago
95 vintage was barely showing age. Amazing wine with a bit of sugar and incredible acid. More please. — 9 years ago
1990: This bottle given to me by Gaston Huet when I visited him in 1996, so no importation or pregnancy warning stickers to obscure the contents. Amber color revealing the level of botrytis in this vintage, since the wine was absolutely fresh. Creme bruleé nose. Silky mouthfeel, with explosions of fruit, ranging from baked apples, hints of vanilla, quince jelly and raisins. Long, long pleasing finish which is a fitting tribute to one of the true heroes of winemaking. Sublime. — 10 years ago
