A delightful Brut with the crispness of pear and green apple accented with strawberry and raspberry. A nice rose to celebrate my nephew's 1st birthday and to enjoy on a sunny Sunday. — 6 years ago
Upfront and transparent and confrontational. Strong posture. Wears a leather jacket in the summer. Blood and rust and repressed tears and a grainy black and white western. Cigarettes that he rips the filter off of to make them stronger. — 7 years ago
Sneaky ripe for an Hermitage. A lot of fruit right out of the gate, but as it warms/breathes...The classic tar, meat and leather starts to emerge. What a wine — 8 years ago
Reminds me of France. Of course. — 11 years ago
Perfect wine for a celebration! Something easy to chill and enjoy for New Years Eve. — 4 months ago
This is a nice surprise. When I hear the word Beaune, I get a taste in my mouth, and this is the taste. A very soft medium drinker, with bright cherries, raspberries, pomegranate, a little spice, and the tiniest funk. Friendly acidity and tannins. Classic Beaune at a great price.
Listening to a bunch of 90s country. — 4 months ago

Really lovely Lirac, Grenache and Syrah show mostly, the proprietor (Rodolphe des Pins) (in my opinion!!) dragged his feet too long in joining the Lirac appellation, but his wines have LONG been undervalued and are fantastic at their pricepoint, I personally have more bottles of this, which I expect to age well!! — 5 months ago

This was our second bottle. First was uninspiring and despite the 97pt RP rating, found it to be disappointing. The trick is to let it breathe for at least an hour to let the flavors develop. It is no Opus One but very satisfying with a juicy steak or just plain enjoyment! — 8 years ago
Confected peach, honeysuckle, walnut paste, cantaloupe and canned pineapple. A great producer with an often overlooked white wine (but only because his red wines are so damn good) — 10 years ago
In southern Burgundy, at the northern border of Beaujolais, lies the Pouilly-Fuisse appellation. Pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and sweet floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, melon and lemon citrus with notes of honey and vanilla oak. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity and ends with minerality. Consistent quality! Nice! Good value! — 4 months ago
Where do I begin… this wine is stunning.
It is positively golden in color with concentrated notes of caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, creme brûlée, dried apricot, yellow apple, peach, nectarine, yellow cherry, kumquat, baked quince, lemon curd, honeysuckle, butter cream, lavender,, dried herbs, fennel, beeswax, honey, chamomile, hazelnut, praline, honey, & wet stones…
It’s textured!!! Waxy & mouth coating, full bodied, round, & opulent.
Alcohol is high at 14.5% ABV — it’s warming but balanced and integrated with the deeply rooted flavors and elevated, vibrant acidity. Yum!!!!!

Stunning, really. Still fresh and fruity, but with impeccable balance. Wish I had more! — 6 months ago

Stone, honey, peach limestone. Golden and intense. Balanced with some toasty notes but lovely purity and balance. — 4 months ago
