Cheers to this hear drizzle! Formerly revived by the producer-Mastroberardino in former hazelnut plantations in the Avellino hills. Hazelnut is not surprisingly 1 of the characteristics imparted in the beautifully refined finish!
I will think about hazelnut when I pour another. Interesting!

Got me a new pair of old man glasses at Costco and picked up a couple bottles. This Brunello is good but doesn't knock my socks off. Very light bodied, chewy cherries, flower petals, and tight acid. Short finish. Yes, I know @Doug Powers I shouldn't drink Brunello this young, but hey it's Costco. And I don't get the feeling this can go for a long haul.

I had this 8 months ago, and I think it deserves better than my first rating. Aggressive up front. It is pretty dark as far as fruit goes. A little green stuff (twigs and leaves), and leathery tannins. There is no metallic taste like in my previous note.
