Wine number 2 doesn't stand a chance after the Ridge Zin, and given the fact that it's $18. But, I'll be fair. This is the kind of wine you get at restaurants that are a step up from Applebee's. It does the job. Flavors of cherry, vanilla, tobacco, and spice. Imbalanced. I assume the 22 means it's 2022. No other age statement on the bottle.

Last had this 10 months ago. I think it's on the decline since then. Grapefruit, melon, citrus. Lacking acidity, it's a bit flabby. That's not what I remember in the last bottle. Anyway, it's nice with some fresh caught walleye.

It feels really nice to be back home with my pretty little wife. Brandon is good company, but he's not much of a kisser.
This wine is light and lively, though inky dark purple. Strawberry aromatics, strawberry and plum flavors. A little fizzy sensation on the tongue.

Day 1 of this year's Smallmouth Smackdown has begun. After 7 hours on the boat, and a dozen bass, it's time to crack into some libations (had a few PBR's on the boat).
This is a lush Zin. Concentrated fruit, but savory and chewy. Blackberry, blood orange, cigar box, and enough structure to age much longer. This is my 3rd Ridge Zin, and I'd have to say I still favor the Pagani Ranch.

It's 93 degrees outside so let's have a chilled white. This is just great. A little too old but nice after pulling weeds. Citrus, pineapple, minerality but the acidity is about gone.
