Pretty happy with this wine. A light red with some pepper, spice and good forward fruit. Pretty smooth. Nice legs on the glass but weak. I toured CDP years ago while stationed in Germany- I have very fond memories and enjoy this wine.
Purchased in 2014 vintage, picked up for $30. — 5 years ago

At #bardotbrasserie in #aria hotel and casino. Mistake with the steaks. Ended up with 4! Needed a greasy red for all that red meat!!!! — 11 years ago

2012, Clos Des Vignes Du Maynes, Cuvée 910, Macon-Cruzille, field blend of Gamay, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Very light with fresh red fruit balanced by spice and herbal undertones. This is one of my favorites, good as an apertif and pairs well with a variety of dishes. — 12 years ago

We have tasted three vintages., the 2019, 2010 and the 2015.
The 2019 was closed with no expressive attributes. The 2010, although was from a more matured vintage was surprisingly powerful however the tannins overwhelmed all other nuances ( probably needs some hours of decanting).
The 2015was at its peak. A complex and developing wine. With each tasting there are new aromas, fruit, barrel, maturation and the palate is strong, balanced with a lengthy finish — 9 months ago
Bandol: pink or white.
It’s a slight culture shock as a moron gringo in the South of France when wines by the glass are identified not by producer or even by grape but simply by place. Bandol didn’t mean much to me as a place, I drove through it en route to Toulon from Marseille but that was about it. Probably it was the fact that it was a vague homonym for bandit drew me to it — which is admittedly kind of lame, but the wine seemed to deliver. Any more than the progeny of any other Mediterranean town would have? Je ne sais pas. But this wine right here is a phenomenal rosé.

Nose and palate of yellow flowers and citrus. Notably fresh, compared to recent tired bottle. — 10 years ago

This was a monster out of the gate and held its own. Really impressed. Shows age but not softness. Elegant, open, beeswaxy, beautiful — 12 years ago

#Remembrance #Love 6/25.
Sofia loved Penguins. We played w/ them in Dubai and she also skied indoor while I had a spot of Champagne and watched from a very big window. Only in Dubai. They have to build things of that nature…cus w/o them…just a bunch of sand. — 2 years ago

Wonderful balance and complex soft fruits and buttery soft acid and nutty. This what I hope for from Burgundy. — 11 years ago
2011. Crisp green apple flavors predominate. Very fresh with good acidity. — 12 years ago

Light golden color. Aromas of green apple, white flowers, citrus and a slight hint of freshly cut grass and leafy herbs. Flavors of lemon, grapefruit, green melon and chalky minerality. Medium-plus finish and bright acidity. Medium bodied, silky texture and quite refreshing. Enjoyed at Keith and Karyn’s New Years Day brunch. — 6 months ago
