Excellent wine — 5 months ago
Reached its apogee and shined at the Christmas dinner table. Creamy, Smokey, delicate and long. A pure treat. Best one yet, one left. — 5 months ago
Just perfect. Souk. Ordered multiple times. Reorder where possible. — 6 years ago
Mild, dry, delicious...doesn't finish dry. Has some pep for an aftertaste. Love it! — 8 years ago
Single Vineyard Tempranillo from Central Spain. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, tobacco, wet soil and anise seed. Flavors of cooked black cherries, currants and plums, dark cocoa powder, black olives and vanilla. Nicely integrated toasty oak on the long and plush finish. Full bodied. Extremely complex and nicely balanced. Well integrated and very smooth tannins. Bold and very well structured. Quite satisfying. Outstanding quality for the price. Great pick, Petey! — 4 months ago
No decepciona. Rioja de ley — 5 months ago
Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; no formal notes due to the setting. It has been a few years since I last enjoyed the 2015 and I am happy to report that it is now very much open for business. The fruit is on full display and the oak is much better integrated. The structure is still quite firm but I found everything to be in better balance than it was upon release. This is squarely and its drinking window and should remain that way through the remainder of this decade and likely, well beyond. Drink now through 2030+ — 9 months ago
Ruby colour. Interesting nose - with hints of cherry and star anise. Lovely and smooth. Not overly complex. Tannins firm but yielding on the finish. A solid wine. — 4 years ago
Rhonda likes. Buy a bottle, but probably not a case. — 7 years ago
Pingus, named after childhood nickname, deep Ruby with concentrated dark fruit aromas and gently smoky notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum, licorice, sweet vanilla spice, well balanced, fine grainy tannins, long finish ending with slight oaky tones. Very Nice! — 5 months ago
C'est chaleureux mais très très harmonieux — 5 months ago
Splash decanted directly before service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours out of red Solo cups. The 1981 Gran Reserva Blanco pours, a golden color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of Khalas dates, dried apricot, black lemon, almonds, toasted coconut and marshmallow. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is waxy. A cerebral wine and just lovely stuff. Well stored bottles have a long life yet left ahead. Drink now with patience and plenty of air and through 2051. — 7 months ago

Excellent with just a bit of breathing, a good deal at $24 which I do not expect to see any time again soon. A good dinner wine, drunk on January 19, 2026. — 4 months ago
