It surprised me how fresh this still is! Youth is often wasted on the young but this wine managed to consciously show off with it at an age I would not have expected. It opens up considerably with air revealing a fresh fruity nose with notes of vanilla. The palette is rich, fruity and quite lengthy with grippy but ripe tannins. This wine remains one of the best values from Spain and it’s one of the best Aalto vintages I have ever tasted. 94+

Every bottle I drink is more in balance and complex. Dark fruits, modest toast en good tannines. This wine keeps on being a treat!😁

Some of the best that Spain has to offer.
The nose provides notes of raspberries and tobacco. It's rich on the palette with cocoa powder and maraschino cherries. First tasting of this and we are very impressed.

Gorgeous bramble fruit, little dirty on the nose. On palate, dried red fruit, earth. Awesome.

Reached its apogee and shined at the Christmas dinner table. Creamy, Smokey, delicate and long. A pure treat. Best one yet, one left.
