This is my favorite summer wine. Extremely smooth and easy to drink, not too sweet (but by no means dry), and has a complex enough finish to impress the sophisticates. An excellent date night wine that punches far beyond its price point — 7 years ago
Not usually a merlot guy, but this is simply wonderful. Young, fruity (for an old world red) and a clean finish. Put this on a table to impress as it will not disappoint. Brilliance in a glass! — 8 years ago
Now this is a Rioja! Excellent structure, powerful rich dark fruits, elegant texture, superbly integrated tannins and oak wrappings that introduce prodominate sweet tobacco notes and toasty vanilla following, winding down in a gripping finale! $30 for this bottle and it backs up every cent. Definitely would be a bottle to impress a dinner party, all I can say is, Bravo! — 10 years ago
Deep ruby, bilberries and blackcurrants then, on the palate, tannic, oaky notes bob up. Fortunately these dissipated as we enjoyed the wine with our meal.
Made in the seriously hot year, 2003, by very young vignerons who continue to impress!
The, early, Nomacorc used has held up well too. — 10 years ago
One of the best bottles I've had in 2015! Great dark fruit. Great aromatic nose. Super smooth, silky taste. Dry but inviting. Instant love and welcoming. Need to buy more and store to impress. — 10 years ago
Willamette Chardonnay continuing to impress, a lot of Giaconda about this — 11 years ago
In the Portuguese tradition! The soft fruit and subtle cream made for a medium bodied beauty! lemon and orange blossom came through with wonderful acidity and balance. Again, Lodi never fails to impress! — 12 years ago
My favourite 🇨🇱 Pinot @ £39 continues to impress every vintage 👍 If you've never tried Ocio give it ago but 💨 decant well 😉 it’s like rolling around in the mud with Mr Porky 🐷 wearing lipstick 💋

A beautiful Columbia Valley blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot. Delicate red fruit and a finish that won’t stop. Washington State reds always impress — 7 years ago
A German resiling - do they ever not impress? The Rudolf Trossen Schieferblume Riesling is a pale yellow green colour. The nose is crisp with sharp lime and lemon but also aromatic with hints of lavender once at at room temperature. White fleshed peach on the palate - sweeter than I'd been told. Delightful! — 9 years ago
Whoa...layers and layers, anise, tobacco, wet leather and a hint of mocha with a dry finish back on the tongue. Deep dark red wine that will impress. — 10 years ago
These wines continue to impress. Cherries, bright acid, underlying herbs and savory notes.

I swear... Chilean wines impress me sometimes. Smooth, great crisp & full taste, amazing oak finish. Read that it has some hints of butter... A bit hard to distinguish but yet it's an great wine!! — 10 years ago
This is a full bodied, flavorful wine. Its full of oak and a very smooth finish. This wine would would be great with pizza or a nice steak dinner with family. Highly recommend as it is not terribly priced but yet will impress your guests every time. Love Brennan vineyards! — 10 years ago
Fantastic! Nose > pallate. But fantastic wine. Depth. Limitless finish. Impress anyone. — 11 years ago
It's like a man that comes on strong to try and impress, yet once it hits your lips, his feminine side starts to show and he wins you over with his balance of manhood and sensitivity. — 12 years ago
Lovely, light, but full bodied. The kind of wine you should have in your house to impress a guest. Would be happy with this under $30. — 6 years ago
Beautifully made wine from a non-traditional wine growing region. What impress me the most is the fact that it does not attempt to copy a popular, easy-to-pronounce, and most likely French varietal such as Merlot or Chardonnay for the sake of sales and marketing. Kōshū has been grown in Japan for 1000+ years . White peach, pear, and fresh cut grass on the nose. Delicate almonds, citrus and mineral on the palate. — 8 years ago
I've been a WH Pinot fan for years, and this vintage continues to impress. Bright & lively with lots of berries, rich color, bit of peppery tone, very smooth and food friendly. Price/value tough to beat. — 10 years ago
I love the Long Shadow wines first and foremost. But this Syrah from Duval rocks and may out impress the other wines in the group. Big and super luscious. Could definitely stand more time in the cellar. Consumed over 36 hours. — 10 years ago
An alternative yet delicious take on Cabernet from a cooler region of California. The fruit is pure and dynamic, with high toned black berry and red plum notes. The wine lacks the tannins of it's Napa contemporaries but it makes up for that with much better acidity, price and elegance. This is a wine that will impress the wine nerds sick of tasting Cab after Cab after Cab that all taste like oak and juice. — 10 years ago
Delicious. Medium bodied and fragrant. Pepper and hints of coffee only temporarily hide the slightly unripened blackberries and currants on the nose. On the palate it is fruit forward (blackberry and some raspberry) and beautifully balanced. Not too heavy on the tannins. It has a tart/short+ finish that makes you want the next sip. Go buy a case and impress your friends. Highly recommended! — 10 years ago
Holy wow! I don't know if there is such a thing as a "mouthgasm," but I just had it! It has a finish with which you could set the minute hand on your watch! Intense currant with wooly/velvety tannins! I think that they were trying to impress Parker... I'm sure they succeeded. — 11 years ago
Dr. Owen Bargreen
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from the Summit View in the Walla Walla Valley as well as Dionysus, Weinbau and Den Hoed Benches Vineyards. Made by legendary winemaker, Randy Dunn, of Dunn Vineyards fame, this reveals dense core, with an inviting nose of crème de cassis, Turkish coffee, red bell pepper, with hints of white pepper and sagebrush. The palate unveils a silky texture and a beautiful mouthfeel. Decadent blueberry compote, mocha, black tea, anise and sagebrush flavors all impress. The gorgeous bright acidity adds to the enjoyment here. Balanced and rich, this stunning wine will cellar well for the next two decades. While it is delicious now, try to resist this for at least two more years. Drink 2020-2040-95 — 6 years ago
