Wow, I loved this wine. It evolved from nose, to approach, to mid-palette to a lovely long finish. There was a vibrant tension between the fruit and the acidity and the limestone underneath it all. And, basically, yum. — 7 months ago

Smooth Sancerre (Sauvignon Blanc) with notes if citrus and limestone, served with lobster cacio e pepe at Nebo Lodge in North Haven Island, ME, also at Wanby Landing, Kennebunk, ME — 10 months ago
Definitely an interesting wine, showing a bit of age, touch cloudy, a dollop of bret, the texture was great, silky and supple, the wine was pretty compelling but not quite my style. — 3 years ago
2022. Smoking. Lemony and rich. This is not typical Bourgogne. Much more there there. — 5 months ago
Berries and cherries, with some earthy notes. Very nice finish, tannins soft and lingering. . Paired with duck breast and lamb leg. — 8 months ago

Nightcap. I have been eyeing this 2018 Bourgogne Rouge for sometime and haven’t found the night to enjoy. Seems it was meant for tonight’s nightcap.
I enjoy Henri’s whites over his reds. His whites are go to. But, this red burgundy is quite pleasant. Nice on its own but is more friendly with/ food…Duck Confit.
It has started to settle in nicely. Fruits are dark & mid red & forward. Ripe, lush & juicy; blackberries, black raspberries, plum w/ heavy skin, strawberries, red cherries & pomegranate with blue & purple fruit hues. Light baking spices-cinnamon, nutmeg, vanillin, chocolate pudding, toast, moist, blended limestone minerals, dry top soil, beautiful, soft, dark spice blend, fresh rain showered forest floor, tea, tree sap, fresh herbs, touch of mint/eucalyptus, moist, grey volcanic clay, dry twig, red cola notes, dry, floral, dark, red & purple flowers/florals, round acidity and a nicely knitted, tensioned, structured, balanced, rich, polished finish that last a full minute.

A delight. Red berries with earthiness. Just a perfect pairing with game and cheese. — 3 years ago
You know you are drinking $400 plus a bottle Grand Cru Burgundy with the first sip. Is it worth it? If you have the money sure but, think you can find very good and near same quality for less money.
Another gorgeous 22. I know someone who has been going to Burgundy as a professional for 40 years that compared the 22 vintage to 59 and that is a huge statement that has the potential in time to prove itself out.
It is magic with the first sip. Perfect ripe and round. It is lush; Granny Smith apples, lime flesh w/ zest, lemon meringue, pineapple, green melon and white stone fruits. Honeysuckle, caramel, white cream froth, sea fossils & spray, beautiful chalky powder, limestone powder, biscuit, just a hint of mint leaf, field of spring flowers, yellow lilies framed in jasmine, perfect rainfall acidity and a round, elegant, lush, well balanced, well knitted finish that lasts minutes and fall on powdery mineral & white spice. — 7 months ago
Nose: elegant yellow fruits.
Palate: yellow fruits. Jumpy acidity. Delicious. Some floral internal aromatics.
Long juicy finish. — 9 months ago
Aromas of lemon & verbena, nougat, marzipan & shortbread, crushed stones…but could a wine taste more yellow?!?! From lemon to pear, w golden delicious, mirabelle, quince, yuzu & star fruit ~ simultaneously rich yet electric w vibrant sappy juice, acidic core and a dusty mineral finish balancing the experience out! — 9 months ago
Enjoyed it for Christmas 2022 for the aperitif with blinis caviar and scallops bacon — 2 years ago
Consistently great value grower pink bubbles. Very crisp and mineral, a bit austere at this point, a lot of the sumptuous fruit has faded to leave chalk, some cranberry, and red grapefruit peel and pith.
