2009 Allemand Horizontal. I absolutely love Allemand’s wines. Always a seamless combination of both elegance and power. Both the Chaillot and Reynard showed perfectly, with the Reynard a bit more concentrated and deep than the Chaillot. Both wines had superb intensity, focus and a wonderful texture with the signature liquid rock, violets, herbs and cassis of Allemand Cornas. Fantastic duo. — 4 years ago

Blueberry and black raspberry nose. Lovely color. Full bodied with rich tannin in aftertaste. Great wine; would not drink again for 5-8 years. — 6 years ago
From a 6 liter bottle opened and then poured into several pitchers - decanters. This wine was fantastic to celebrate dad’s 70th birthday with the entire extended family.
Good fruit and nice depth to it. Easy to drink and paired well with chateaubriand, penne alla vodka and eggplant parm. — 6 months ago

great wine, not to my liking.
no wine in this class made me really happy...
the Rieslings weren't top class, the rest not specially made for me. — 4 years ago
Very powerful, sweet and approachable — 6 years ago
Sitting on the precipice of primary and tertiary. Still has bright fruit notes with high acidity and just enough tannins that it would still pair well with food. But it also has forest floor, mossy stone, leather, cigar box. It will probably age longer knowing Mussar, but this wine has definitely hit its stride and is absolutely singing right now. — 9 months ago

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Nice nose of black currants, blackberries, black plums, cedar, licorice, chocolates, vanilla, earth, light vinaigrette, tobacco leaf, herbs, eucalyptus and peppercorn.
Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, espresso, tobacco leaf, earth, herbs, eucalyptus, spices, peppercorn and mildew.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This is a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Showing great complexity with a soft mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes of airtime.
This 13 year old will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Nicely balanced, rich and extracted. Elegant and fruit forward.
Wine Spectator 92 points.
A good quality wine that will pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
A blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot and 1% Malbec.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
