Reliable, delicious, and reasonable. Slightly on the fruitier end of the Bordeaux spectrum - gorgeous blackberry, plum and cassis, balanced by delicious chocolate, exotic tobacco, and good spice. Good acidity provides incredible length. Always amazing for the price. — 3 months ago
Ripe and petrol. airy. ripe peaches, slatey and peaches. fruit flesh, juicy and complex. Some heat. Caramel on the finish. — 11 days ago
The 2014 Cheval Blanc has an attractive nose with brambly red fruit, sous-bois, a pencil box and a touch of Xmas cake. It does not take too much aeration before it develops further aromas of black truffle and morels. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, fleshy, ripe and tensile with red peppercorn hints toward the slightly granular finish. Very harmonious and persistent. It is outstanding in the context of the vintage. Tasted at Bordeaux Index's 10-Year-On tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, March 2024)

Consistently good Cabernet Savignon w/ a little Merlot, also Napa.
When your fruit is sourced from Oak Knoll district, Rutherford, Mount Veeder, Diamond Mountain District, Stags Leap District, and Howell Mountain, the result should be excellent and flavorful. It is. — 24 days ago
Excellent really. Sweet Pinot Fruit. Cherry 🍒 mostly. Just 13.5%. Very refined. Like a Burgundy at a much better price point. Planted in 1996 to Pommard, Wadenswil and 114. Dry farmed! Needs at least 2 hours of air. Teanotes, … fresh! In my book one of the top 10 Pinots in the US. — 2 months ago
