A hint of pencil lead and slate -a lovely nose.

This is Grenache heavy and shows it - big, mouth filling violet candy, Thai basil, Greek oregano, river stone, blackberry compote, firm, yet unobtrusive tannins. Black Pepper, just before the Chile pepper acidity kicks in.
Very happy with this CDP, and this needs to be drunk youngish.

Wish we had a case! Last day of vacation on San Juan island with triple cut pork chops. They were out of lamb but this combo is more than ok.

Garagiste selection. $19.96. A little earthy. Still great value.

Blackberry, baking spice, great acidity, moderate tannins. Tastes a bit lighter and fresher than what I remember from other CdP’s, but admittedly, I don’t drink a ton of them. Looks like I’m missing out! Paired perfectly with tri tip.

Color of light purple, mixed with copper and ruby notes. Just a tiny bit cloudy. Nose of high quality Pinot noir like berry note, a bit wet mushroom, green grapes, and more fresh berries note, with a bit hint of alcohol strength. Taste again follows the high quality Pinot noir notes with addition of soft tannins, some spice, coke cola, and a tiny bit of mineral. Aftertaste of some more grapefruit, medium long. Clean and pleasant. I will totally mistaken her as Pinot Noir.
