Bold nose of dark red berry, velvet, latex and a strangely seafood-y funk, like oysters maybe, on a medium bodied, DARK red wine, with purple hues present towards the edges. The palate is much more straightforward and juicy, and slightly spicy, with notes like Hawaiian Punch, dark overripe berry, and a finish that tastes a bit like artificial blueberry flavor, with some slight tannins peppered throughout. — 2 months ago

Wow. Beautiful and expressive Nebbiolo. So elegant. — 25 days ago
Surprisingly complex, barnyard smell, unfiltered cider, grapefruit minerality, apple, funky. Better with food than on its own. Initial effervescence disappears quickly. Touch of honey. — 2 months ago
That great Barolo coloring pale at rim and darkening toward center. This was not focused on opening but got there after 2 hours. Truffle cherry earth and a full palate experience. Lots of weight to this wine and it stays heavy on the back end. Went very well with the homemade bucatini. — 3 months ago
Bright red fruit acidity up front, good grip in back. Needs fatty foods. — 15 days ago
Fabulous on the nose, elegant and balanced. — a month ago
Glad to see that winemaking trend is going towards more approachable while it doesn’t have to sit inside the bottle for more than a decade or so! Medium body, dry. Greatly integrated oak note with cherry on the palate. Paired well with a steak dinner. — 2 months ago

Popped and poured. The 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo “Maggiur” pours a pale garnet color with a watery rim and a transparent core. Medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with moderate intensity redolent of tart red fruits: raspberries, strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate, dried roses, dried herbs (but not enough for you to go to Sangiovese), sandstone minerals. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Full bodied. Alcohol is medium. Confirming the notes on the nose. Finish is medium+. An elegant, pretty expression of Nebbiolo. Really lovely. Drink now with some patience but this should drink well through 2028. — 20 days ago
