Sunday lunch with the annual boys trip away for the Rugby where the Wallabies had a win over Wales last weekend. Lunch at top notch Sydney restaurant Icebergs at Bondi Beach. I picked this one from the extensive Wine List from young gun Joshua Cooper who has some famous neighbours in the Macedon Ranges like Bindi and Curly Flat. This was more full bodied than I was expecting but got the thumbs up from all the Rugby fans who ordered a 2nd bottle. A generous Pinot showing ripe red fruits and plenty of whole bunch character. — 2 years ago
Albore Vermentinu Patrimonio ( Corsica) by Nicolas Mariotti Bindi. No vintage mentioned. Lovely fresh white, with a gorgeous salty finish. The wines from this lovely small producer are hard to find but well worth the search. Very low sulfites (< 15 mg/l). Abv. 13%. — 3 years ago
Very settled on the palate with a terroir finish with some minerality taste.. a bit on the dry side which is perfect for some seafood pasta..! ♥️ — 4 years ago

Top notch vermentino from Patrimonio, Corsica. Needed a few years in bottle - now drinking perfectly — 7 years ago
One of the best Pinots I’ve had from anywhere this year. Also I should state the only note I’ve been able to put on Delectable out of 4 attempts. The previous 3 have disappeared. Light in colour and a beautifully fragrant wine with Medium + intensity. 98 points from Huon Hooke and he made this comment, “A mesmerising wine - surely one of Bindi’s best ever “. I can only agree. This is a top quality Pinot Noir no matter the origin and will probably reach the end of HH’s drinking window of 2034. This Is easily of Premier Cru and in some cases Grand Cru standard. — 3 months ago

My first Joshua Cooper wine - had to check out the Young Winemaker of the year for 2020 awarded by Gourmet Wine Traveller magazine. Joshua has recently turned 32. This wine was quite rich and dense and a little closed aromatically - obviously quite young. Ripe plum, rose petals, with a little vegetal matter. - a big future ahead. Joshua has had wide experience with Australian wineries and in Burgundy with Domaine de la Vougeraie and Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron. This wine from the cool climate Macedon Ranges with high profile neighbours like Bindi and Curly Flat. — 5 years ago
Holding up great, this has plenty of fruit and terrific balance of acid. Black tea and earth flavors in abundance on the medium-long finish. No hurry to drink the other two bottles in the rack. — 6 years ago
Sweet chalky smell with some cherry, taste is a trippy cross between raspberry cranberry and cherry, color is a light but flat magenta — 7 years ago
Light bio red, echoes of poulsard/trousseau. Northern Corsican delight — 8 months ago
Nice easy drinking Chianti. Fruit forward, good pizza wine. — 3 years ago
Pale to mid Lemon in colour. Smells like it could be lean - Lemons and white flowers but it’s quite fulsome on the palate with white peach and a saline touch. I have to agree with Tanzer’s note with aromas of citrus peel and wet stone. Sometimes I have a high quality Australian Chardonnay like Leeuwin Art Series, Bindi Quartz or Penfolds Yattarna and wonder why I would bother with a more expensive Premier Cru white Burgundy. Once I tasted this I could see where that extra $100 went. — 5 years ago
We last had a bottle on 11th July 2020 and this time it showed better. Red savoury fruits mainly cherry and a plum skin note. Still with that burnt bracken note which is not unattractive. On the palate like Bass Phillip but more succulent. The Macedon Ranges just north of Melbourne is a proven good area for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay - a neighbour being the highly credentialed Bindi Wines. — 6 years ago

Aromatics of struck match, lime and grapefruit - on the palate a surprising luscious texture. Overall there is fruit and mineral intensity. A fabulous new World Chardonnay - one of Australia’s best. A few years ago I conducted a blind tasting of 2015 Chardonnays which included all of Australia’s best like Giaconda and Leeuwin Art Series and a Premier Cru white burgundy just to make things interesting - the consensus winner on the day was the Bindi Quartz. — 2 months ago
