At the Downs Club Magnum Christmas Dinner. A tinge of green to the Lemon yellow colour - very youthful. Restrained for an Art Series where temporarily they joined the Aussie trend at the time for leaner sulphidic burnt match aromas. This is a good balance between their normal peaches and cream and the leaner crisper style. This was an excellent wine and remains one of Australia’s best Chardonnays.

30 minuets in the decanter(a must) & it was singing . Great bottle of Chardonnay. Drinking for another 6/8 years.

Now I know why this is a classically referenced wine. Wow.

Smoky, Smoky and Smoky chardonnay. Pronounced oak on the nose and on the palate. I might need some time on the bottle do develop flavours. I would say this is an educational wine. If you struggle to understand what is oak in wine, this is a wine for you. There is good acidity, tropical fruit notes, but the oak is intense for me.

Haven’t had one of these in a while. I suspect that as they are now under screw top that they are evolving at a glacial pace. Oak is pretty prominent and this reads as a young wine.

Not as buttery as some Chards, but very pleasant and highly acidic. Refreshing. Very nice.

First time I have seen this wine in screwcap. Light color with tincture of Chardonnay with faint vanillin overtones. Lovely acid and balance but not what I remember from this vineyard. Good but not great!
