This is very good for not much aging and the price. Lovely nose and mouthfeel. Cherry, with a bit of funky farmyard on the nose. Superb. — 5 months ago
It’s at the 3 hour mark in the decanter (advance decant) where it really comes alive. Reduction settles down and Coche fireworks awaken. It always amazes me how deep and long on the palate village Coche is. It has such radiant energy and cut in this vintage balancing its richness seamlessly. The last sip makes me sad. So good. — 3 years ago
Established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, father of owner Christophe Coillot. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of fig, mushroom and spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — 4 days ago
Always a classic. Still a (relative) value. Balance, structure, texture, tension, integration and length. Just great winemaking. Benchmark Chard. — 8 months ago
Previous 2 bottles have had evidence of Brett. The Brett more noticeable on the nose than the palate. Still very drinkable - remember, it is Leroy. The following night the Brett much less noticeable. More savoury than fruit driven - a lovely texture and mouthfeel. All in all a good Village Bourgogne if not overpriced. — a year ago
