Donna Margherita Barbera d'Alba 2015

Threw a few of these in the cellar just to see what would happen. Finally coming into its own in Hour 2. Dark blue black fruits, nice acidity, balanced. Really nice. Great for Sunday pasta and red sauce. — 6 days ago

Tre Vigne Barbera d'Alba 2019

Vietti ‘Tre Vigne’ Barbera D’Alba DOC 2019: Medium-bodied. Nice acidity. Great balance. Red fruits. Plum. Licorice. Vanilla. Oak. Subtle spice finish. Love this wine! Love this producer! Extremely enjoyable and pairs nicely with a wide variety of food options. Always a great “go to” at any restaurant if you’re looking for consistency of quality & value. Great weekend to all! Conca Tre Pile Barbera d'Alba 2012

Quite smooth over time! Without stimulated red flower flavor, turned into comfortable taste. 10 years Barbera. 2012 @1950, Kping - Boboli, 221028-221103 — a month ago

Coste & Fossati Dolcetto d'Alba 2018

What a nose! Almond, cherry, red currant, some mushroomy notes too along some meaty touches. This is very inviting and quite big and bold for what my internal software is used to associate with dolcetto. The palate is lovely and great! A great acid drive, a great width, a grainy yet soft mouthfeel, some red currant and cherry notes all along, some tannins in the rear that disturb slightly the mouthfeel making it grainy, somehow. The finish is long and fruity with a tiny salty, meaty note that pops up in the end that recalls those meaty touches that appeared on the nose. This is great but it feels so young and now I'm a bit sad that I bought only one bottle. This deserves to be left on the side for another 5-7 years — 2 months ago

Expensive but it’s worth it! Very dark in colour - opaque. Just medium bodied. — 9 days ago

Dolcetto d'Alba 2013

Dolcetto is rarely transcendent. This is one I’ve truly been impressed with. More stewed fruits as it revealed itself. Bold but not over the top. — 19 days ago

Barbera d'Alba 2020

Dark ruby color. Aromas and flavors of macerated red and black berries, baking spices, rose petals and freshly turned earth. Smooth and creamy (very long) finish. (surprising as this wine is quite youthful.) Very complex. Full bodied and excellent structure and balance. Winner! Love this producer. — 2 months ago
