Moderately ripe cherries, but great acid to balance (tastes a little like the Stella cherries in my backyard), still structured and youthful, needs further aging, medium-long finish, very good Barbera!!

Exceptional Barbera right from the cork. Smooth and delicate. Packed with cherry/strawberry/raspberry with a hint of spice and undergrowth. Paired extremely well with home grilled ribeye steak, asparagus and steak fries with sautéed mushrooms and onions.

On the nose, this is a fresh cherry skin aroma... On the palate, cherry, red currant, and raspberry... A real freshness throughout with vibrant acidity that worked really well with my duck dish. Alive!

First of five fun, fantastic, and frugal wines for everyday drinking. The kind that, on the third glass, make you make realize what wine is really about… Barbera from Piedmont. This has a purple tint with highly ripe fruit and leather aromatics. Dry with heavy fruit and acid on the pallet. Medium plus body and alcohol, tannic, with a light finish but surprisingly balanced. Around twenty bucks a bottle and perfect for fast casual food. PS Decanting is optional but highly recommended and aging is not necessary but will pay off greatly.

Fresh, juicy, uncomplicated Barbera from 15-20 years old vines in Castiglione Falletto and La Morra. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak for 16 months. Bright ruby color. Red fruit and earthy notes. Medium-bodied, tart red fruit (sour cherry, strawberry) on the palate. Light tannin, racy acidity.

Dark cherries, tobacco, tar, and bracing acidity to tackle tomatoes. Lots of northern Italian spice. Black cherries.
A cleansing mouthfeel that refreshes.
Big in the mouth. Always a great wine

Peppery, with enough acidity and ‘superiore’ with hints at peach and huge mouthfeel of dark plum

Young but still pretty robustly flavored with good Barbera acids. Cherry, leather, blackberry, cranberry. From Flatiron Wines. 07/12/21
