#Remembrance #Love 6/25.
Sofia loved Penguins. We played w/ them in Dubai and she also skied indoor while I had a spot of Champagne and watched from a very big window. Only in Dubai. They have to build things of that nature…cus w/o them…just a bunch of sand. — a year ago
Vines planted in !901, 1902. Mainly Grenache 90-95%. 15% ABV but nit noticeably hot. Black cherry, black plum, spicy but not peppery, forest floor, little chocolate covered cherry, Med+ acid, well integrated tannins. Alcohol showing up a little on finish. Smooth and complex. — 3 years ago
Excellent entry level white burg. Balanced nose of green apple and light fruit with a touch of sea salt. Great lingering honeyed fruits and melon on the tongue. I’d love to try some 1er/grand cru from Paul pernot — 5 years ago
Had a bottle 66 weeks ago - this is my last bottle. White florals. The palate is delicate, restrained and polished. After a while sweet fruit but undeniably more citrus than stone fruit. The finish shows cleansing citric acid with a touch of salinity. The same notes the following night. 2017 - a good year for white burgundy. — 6 months ago
Solid expression but falls a bit flat on acidity — 10 months ago
The NV Brut 7 Crus is a very pretty, entry-level wine in this range. Bright, mineral and intensely vibrant, the 7 Crus is all energy. All the elements are so well proportioned. A blend of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, this captures all the house signatures with tons of energy and better overall balance than in some previous editions. White flowers, chalk and citrus linger. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. Disgorged: June, 2023. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)

Benefited from a 90 minute decant. Lots of acidity but good dark fruit, soft tannins and minerality — 4 years ago
Fresh, more of a morning champagne — 6 years ago
Slow to open. Acidic for first few hours. Balanced out in time. Wonderful nose. Cannot mistake for other than a great burgundy. Great leathery base. Bright fruit has departed (which is good). Slight hint of backend oxidation. Drinks wonderfully after 12-18 hrs! — 4 years ago
Nice acidity with some width to it and a little bit of richness, a delicious finish on pears mostly. Good bottle but lacks the zip of the best Perrières.
Beau vin sans être dans la même classe que les meilleurs Perrières, belle acidité et une bouche assez ample avec un peu de richesse, belle finale sur les poires. 90-91 — 5 years ago
Disgorged 2019 - youthful power, rose gold hue, very substantial but then a lingering zest. Gift that keeps on giving. — 5 years ago
Wow. So this young fresh fruity CDP settled in nicely about 30 minutes I. And drank nicely over a couple of hours. At great value on the list. — 6 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2008 Special Club pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing and somewhat shy but there’s citrus, white peach, brioche and a rather fascinating smell that reminded me of a built-up roof. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose however here, it’s much richer and expansive. The finish is long. Young? Probably. Drink now through 2038. No disgorgement data. — 6 months ago
