First bottle of a half case we bought at the domaine in 2021. Definitely will be better in a few years but nice to try one on the earlier side. What they say is true - this is really easily Brunello level. At this point the nose isn’t giving a ton, but there is great depth of fruit and earth on the palate. This hits in several more parts of the mouth than most wines and the finish goes on for quite a while. Medium plus tannins and acid which should balance out a bit with some more age.

Popped in poured; no formal notes. The 2020 Pithos Rosso is, to my palate, a lovely Sicilian alternative to Beaujolais. Delicious, refreshingly fruity and just a touch wild. This is a very punchy, rich wine, likely a blend of Sangiovese with some bordeaux cépages like Cabernet. Actually works very well with rich food and has enough acidity and balance. Not our prime stuff in style but honestly was really good. — 4 months ago

Very light gold color. Peaches, pineapple, flint, and lemongrass on the nose. This is more Sauv Blanc and Riesling than previous vintages, Less acidity too. Still good, just different from previous vintages I’ve had. Great depth and long finish. Love the complexity and uniqueness! — 5 months ago
