Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2013 pours a deep, slightly hazy ruby color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful notes of strawberry, raspberry, dried roses, sous bois, licorice, dried green herbs, gentle warm spices and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and full of rustic character. In general, the 2013 vintage in Burgundy is on fire right now. And as far as Domaine de l’Arlot is concerned, I adore these wines and wish I could drink them more often. Drink now through 2038. — 3 months ago

Vintage 2016 | has gained refinement with more cellaryears — 5 months ago
2016 vintage. 75 Merlot and 25 /Cabernet Franc).Owned by the Vauthier family (of Ausone fame),this is one of their cheaper offerings. The 2016 drinks well now. I like the rather restrained style of this wine, with its distinctive minerality. Don't expect a flashy "sweet" style, but more of an understated, gastronomic wine. Moreover, it doesn't break the bank. Abv. 13,5%. Even better the next day. — 5 months ago

A lovely wine that is drinking very lovely right now. I personally like 14.5% wines vs the big jammy versions for their balance so this fits my tastes perfectly. Very glad I bought a futures case back in the day. Enjoy sooner rather than later. Cheers! — 8 months ago
Gingerbread, cigar box, shoe polish, red bell pepper, fireplace, tobacco leaf, wet earth. Balanced and distinguished. A very chic and classic glass. Beautiful in it’s transition from summer notes to autumn. Drink now. — 2 months ago

Going back in time for this one. Let it sit a little and it opened right up. — 4 months ago
Opened the first night and not impressed, was closed but the following night it opened and morphed into a wonderful balanced wine with cocoa notes in the nose, full body and great finish. — 5 months ago
Initially tannic but this is full bodied and lush as it opened up — 5 months ago
2022 vintage. The Cuveliers are doing a great job here. Their Clos Fourtet might not be for everyone's wallet, but this should make you happy too. Another great 2022, and the best Côte de Baleau I have ever tasted. Black cherries, subtle oak, and flowers. Concentrated, with layers of ripe red and black fruit, embedded in a silky tannic structure with fresh balancing acidity. Highly recommended and terrific value. — 6 months ago
Deep Ruby red color with aromas of ripe fruits with floral perfume and sweet earthy tones, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum fruits, with pepper spice notes. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, floral and earthy spice character. Good now, has short-term aging potential. — 10 months ago
Balsamic tones, cherry, warmth, milk chocolate, warm cherry tart, plum. Thick, powerful, and expressive. Minerals in the finish. Macerated fruit. Beautiful. Ready to drink, now. — 2 months ago
Merlot blend. Premier grand cru classé 1995 öppnad 2026. Färg mörk roströd mot brun. Smak mot portvin. Fanatisk. — 3 months ago
Sweet vanillin, dried red fruits, still quite fresh and clean, medium-bodied, resolved tannins, but the bright acidity really carries this into a long, lingering finish, my wife’s favorite Bordeaux, alas only a few more bottles left in the cellar!! — 5 months ago
Beautiful, quintessential nose! Silky and balanced from start to finish. Not trying to be too bold but it doesn’t disappear either. Truly enjoyable Bordeaux and I would absolutely buy it again — 6 months ago
1990 vintage. Last tasted slightly over 3 years ago (8.7). Solid fill and cork. Not decanted. Tasted after two hours. A curious, fecal nose that never dissipated but nose didn’t invade the flavors that were earthy and spicy. This was immeasurably improved over the last encounter. Based on this visit, could go another 2-3 years at this level. 11.21.25. — 7 months ago

Sweet, red fruit. Umami running through it. Licorice, cough syrup. Fresh acidity. Pine forest. Peppery. Volatile at the start, dissipating. Warm pebbles and stones. Sultry and fresh. Great length. Wow. — 2 months ago
